This discussion is locked Anita Muller Level 1 (0 points) Q: iPhone iOs 5.1.1 error message Hi anyoneI've bought a new iPhone 4s about 3 months ago. First upgrade went fine with iTunes (ver 10.6.1), so I know it cannot be the connection. For the last 3 months I've been trying to upgrade to iOs 5.1.1, but keep getting an error -3259 message (server has timed out). I've checked my network settings, firewall settings, and have even tried to upgrade using other internet connections, but still no upgrade. This is a big problem, because it starts downloading, and then just freezes. I'm not on an uncapped internet connection, and have lost alot of my package to just be dissapointed (the upgrade being 803mb)............ and I'm starting to resent my once favourite purchase. I'm on the verge of offering to pay for a disc with the upgrade, or anything - this is NOT cool !!Any help please ?ThanksAnita iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1 Posted on Jun 7, 2012 5:23 AM I have this question too Close Q: iPhone iOs 5.1.1 error message All replies Helpful answers by KiltedTim, KiltedTim Jun 7, 2012 12:00 PM in response to Anita Muller Level 9 (56,280 points) Mac OS X Jun 7, 2012 12:00 PM in response to Anita Muller You didn't look very hard for an answer... http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2799 Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Anita Muller, Anita Muller Jun 8, 2012 8:06 AM in response to KiltedTim Level 1 (0 points) Jun 8, 2012 8:06 AM in response to KiltedTim None of the support helped - firewalls have already been opened for iTunes, And I have the latest version of iTunes (10.6.1), I even tested the connection by simultaneously downloading updates for my apps and buying music (this worked fine).
