Both times then required a soft reset. After one of these events, my e310 got into a state where I was unable to add new records in Listpro lists, and there was strange behavior in other apps. What is "device.exe" (it certainly sounds basic) and what would cause it to crash? ps. Due to general instability in my machine (lots of soft resets and the occasional hard reset) I'm in the process of rebuilding it from scratch with only the minimum set of trusted apps. We'll see if things get better - so far so good. btw, have there been any ROM upgrades from Toshiba for the e310? edit: Sorry, I meant to put this in e310 forum. imported_RickK, Sep 9, 2002 #1 Michman Senior Member Messages: 474 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 66 Get ready to get your e310 repaired/replaced. Something quite bad is in the works, hardware, ROM/RAM, I'm guessing. I've seen that warning before and soon found myself with a e310 which would not recover from a soft or hard reset. Sorry. I still haven't got my back from Toshiba. I tried the same thing you mentioned (minimum software) but it didn't help... bockmilly, Sep 14, 2002 #3 (You must log in or sign up to reply here.)
