The F10 error code indicates a runaway oven temperature. The only way to reset the range, is to disconnect it from the outlet or go to the main circuit breaker of the home and switch it off for 20-30 minutes, then restore the power. If disconnecting the power kenmore gas oven f10 error code for a few minutes does not help, the EOC (electronic oven control) may need to be replaced. Follow these steps to replace the EOC: Unplug the range. Remove the rear access panel from the console. Write down the wiring locations, or a digital camera may come in handy for this. Remove the wiring being careful not to pull on the wires - pull on the lugs. Remove the mounting screws that hold the control board in place. The new board may not come with the overlay (this is the plastic piece the covers the front of the board with all the printing on it. This can be reused. Carefully remove the overlay and place it on the new board. Install new control board using care not to handle the board components as much as possible. Reconnect all wiring. Reinstall back panel. Full Answer Reset the control boardReset the stove's control board by unplugging the f10 error range, waiting one minute, then plugging it back in and turning it on again. This particular error can be resolved this way in some cases.Inspect the oven visuallyUse a flashlight to see whether the heating elements are physically damaged. If this is the case, you need to have the heating elements replaced.Check the heating elements using a multimeterRemove the stove's rear panel f10 error code and disconnect the heating element wires. Touch one of the digital multimeter probes to the left terminal of the heating element and the other probe to the right terminal. It was cooking at 400 for about 1 hour 40 minutes. I opened the oven to pull the lid of the pan off. After 5 minutes I returned and the top of the lasagna was burning. After looking in the over I could see the broiler element was on (hence the burning) and then the display showed f10 and I shut it off. Now when I try to turn on oven on to bake it starts heating with the broiler element. From reading through other post I believe it could be the control panel, but thought I would post and see if there are anything I should try to diagnose the problem further. Thanks.
