Report This by Dan Hawkins January 29th, 2010 I have a Kenmore model kenmore stove troubleshooting 790.9611 slide in range/oven. The last two time I used the oven to heat kenmore oven f10 error beeping something up the food was burned on top and raw on the bottom and there was an F10 code displayed. The f10 error on frigidaire oven first time I cleared the code, reprogram the oven setting but the same thing happened again. What is the F10 code? And how do I reprogram for the F10 code or fix whatever is wrong? Thank

The F10 error code indicates a runaway oven temperature. The only way to reset the range, is to kenmore oven f10 reset disconnect it from the outlet or go to the main circuit breaker of the home and switch it off for 20-30 minutes, then restore the power. If disconnecting the power for a few minutes does not help, the EOC (electronic oven control) may need to be replaced. Follow these steps to replace the EOC: Unplug the range. Remove the rear access panel from the console. Write down the wiring locations, or a digital camera may come in handy for this. Remove the wiring being careful not to pull on the wires - pull on the lugs. Remove the mounting screws that hold the control board in place. The new board may not come with the overlay (this is the plastic piece the covers the front of the board with all the printing on it. This can be reused. Carefully remove the overlay and place it on the new board. Install new control board using care not to handle the board components as much as possible. Reconnect all wiring. Reinstall back panel. It should ohm out at 1100 ohms at room temperature. If that checks good, then your control board is the problem.
