The F10 error code indicates a runaway oven temperature. The only way to reset the range, is to disconnect it from the outlet or go to the main circuit breaker of the home and switch it off for 20-30 minutes, then restore the power. If disconnecting the power for a few minutes does not help, the EOC (electronic oven control) may need to be replaced. Follow these steps to replace the EOC: Unplug the range. Remove the rear access panel from the console. Write down the wiring locations, or a digital camera may come in handy for this. Remove the wiring being careful not to pull on the wires - pull on the lugs. Remove the mounting screws that hold the control board in place. The new board may not come with the overlay (this is the plastic piece the covers the front of the board with all the printing on it. This can be reused. Carefully remove the overlay and place it on the new board. Install new control board using care not to handle the board components as much as possible. Reconnect all wiring. Reinstall back panel. If you do not feel comfortable replacing the EOC yourself, I recommend scheduling service at 1-800-42

If this is happening before the oven even begins heating or is not http://www.shopyourway.com/questions/1067252 up to the set temperature, then you could have a failed oven temperature sensor or a failed electronic control board. A wire harness failure could also cause this problem. If the oven heats to an extremely high temperature and then you see this F10, then you likely have a stuck relay on the electronic oven control board and it will need to be replaced. A technician will normally need to diagnose and repair this type of failure. If http://www.shopyourway.com/questions/1038178 you want to attempt to diagnose and repair this failure yourself, I recommend unplugging the range and checking the oven temperature sensor probe first. You will need a volt/ohm meter to check the resistance of this component. You can access the wiring disconnect plug on some models by removing the screws that secure the probe on the inside back wall of the oven. Some models have the probe secured with screws on the back panel of the oven. If the probe is secured by screws on the inside of the oven cavity, remove the screws and carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you can access and unplug the wiring disconnect plug. Measure the resistance across the leads of the probe. You should measure about 1100 ohms at room temperature. The resistance chart for the temperature probe is shown in the first image below. If the temperature probe resistance is high, then this is likely causing your F10 code. The probe would need to be replaced. You can order a new one from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is 316217003. If the resistance of the temperature probe is okay, then you could have a wire harness problem or a failed control board. The next step would be to reconnect the probe and then remove the upper back panel to access the electronic oven control board. A diagram of

How do you troubleshoot a GE Spectra electric stove? What are some of the f10 error main problems with Kenmore Elite ovens? Full Answer Reset the control boardReset the stove's control board by unplugging the range, waiting one minute, then plugging it back in and turning it on again. This particular error can be resolved this way in some cases.Inspect the oven visuallyUse a flashlight to see whether the heating elements are physically damaged. You might notice a broken heating element or blistering kenmore oven f10 on the surface of the elements. If this is the case, you need to have the heating elements replaced.Check the heating elements using a multimeterRemove the stove's rear panel and disconnect the heating element wires. Touch one of the digital multimeter probes to the left terminal of the heating element and the other probe to the right terminal. If you see a reading of up to 50 ohms of resistance, the heating element is fine. A reading of 0 ohms suggests that the heating element needs to be replaced.Test the temperature sensorDisconnect the wires of the temperature sensor, which is located between the upper baking element prongs. Touch the multimeter probes to the sensor terminals. A reading between 1,000 and 1,100 ohms suggests that the sensor is working. If the reading is above 2,500 ohms, the sensor is broken and should be replaced.
