A Panasonic HiFi mini system model SA-AK5 I keep getting error F61 when using the stereo. I don't have the user manual for the hifi so I don't know what the error means. I would like to get hold of the service manual but I don't know where I can get it. So, any help is appreciated - how go around fixing it and/or where to get the service manual Josiah Sponsored Links 01-30-03,08:01 AM #2 shering3 Visiting http://www.doityourself.com/forum/home-entertainment-center-tvs-stereos-vcrs-dvds-bluray-media-players/119683-f61-error.html Guest Same problem here Hello, I have a Panasonic SA-AK28 stereo system which has exactly the same fault. I searched on the net and I discovered that the problem has to do with a fault in the power amp. Apparently a circuit gives the system lower voltage than it needs. If you go to www.panasonic.co.uk and then support-downloads you will find the manual for the SA-AK25 I think. This is very detailed and I guess it shares many parts with mine and your system. Chris 01-31-03,12:10 AM #3 jmugambi Visiting Guest can't find it Hi I can't find the documentation for the saak25 or saak5. I've sent them an email about it and I'm waiting to see what they'll say. Otherwise, i'm in kenya and the panasonic service center i know of is quite expensive and i'll rather fix the problem myself. What exactly did you do with your system, chris? Did you replace the power amp (i.e assuming it was defective) or got a different power amp. thanks for your help anyway Josiah 01-31-03,12:25 PM #4 shering3 Visiting Guest Manual url Hi again, No wonder you couldn't find the manual since the one I saw was for the SAAK18 not the 25. Apologies for that. This time I copied the url of the manual: http://www.support.panasonic.co.uk/s...AK18/Bak18.pdf As for my system I haven't had the time yet to find out how much a repair will cost or whether I can or

Talked to support, and they said that it probably needed a new power amp, ic501 (I think). Searched the web and was told to check the cooling fan on the back of the unit. It wasn't spinning. There was another small fan inside that would spin for 10 seconds or so, and would stop. After pressing the power button, I spun the fan with my finger (as best as i could) and the unit powered on, until I stopped spinning. I took it out, cleaned it, and the unit worke
