I just bought a 2007 Ford Fusion not more than 3 weeks ago and upon attempting to load my in-dash CD changer for the very first time to use it, on loading the last disk, I got an error message before the system advised me to load the disk and the whole thing has locked me out. I try to eject the http://cardealerforums.com/alt-autos-ford/t29773-6-cd-changer-issue-load-eject-cd-errors.html other disks and they won't eject, they won't play, and I cannot load the last one. I get LOAD ERROR, EJECT ERROR and CD ERROR any time I attempt to do anything. I put in only store-bought CD's too. The dealer told me that these changers take a beating, however, this is a brand new car and the CD player has never been used before. This is the very first attempt and it fails. So, for them to say that, I disagree with them. Has anyone else had this problem with these Audiophile radio/6CD changers and how many times did you have to replace your radios? I have a bad feeling about this after digging up a bit of research over this weekend and I kind of get the feeling that this car will be going back to the dealer again in the near future for the same exact issue again, after they replace the original radio. If they fail that easily, who is to say that it is not going to do that same thing again? Comments? Solutions? I have a 6-year 72k warranty, so it is covered, but that is not the point. I'm almo

Prior to this, the 6CD player worked fine. I must add that I did disconnect the battery during this attempted installation, in case that may have something to do with this issue. I did this as suggested by the PXDX2 instructions. Primarily, now, every time we start our 06 Eddie, the CD player clicks and whirs on its own. Secondly, and worse yet, I cannot load a CD. When I try, I get a ford fusion cd "LOAD ERROR" message on the radio LED, and the CD player does its' "click and whir" dance. If I try to force a CD into the slot, the "door" is closed, and a CD cannot be loaded. I ran the radio test diagnostics (press 3 and 6 while in FM), and that goes throught the speaker and subwoofer diag, but does nothing for the CD player. Another suggestion I found on another site was to diconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes, in hopes this would "reset" the radio and restore normal CD operation. This did not work either. The last thing I will try (from another forum) is to pull the radio fuse (fuse/relay location #3 from the manual) in the hopes this may reset the radio and the CD player. (Will this work? Dunno) What is really perplexing is why this happened in the first place. If I had accidentally "fried" anything during the failed PXDX2 aux installation, why is only the CD player affected, why not the whole system? Any help on this is greatly appreciated!! hamcse924, March 1, 2008 #1 Support EF Join the Elite Explorers for $20 a year Explorer Forum has probably saved you that much already, and will continue to save you money as you learn how to diagnose and fix problems yourself, and learn which modifications work without having to experiment on your own. When I try to load a disc, I get the "CD Error" code displayed. The unit turns on, will play the radio and when I push the CD tuning it says "No Disc". I have heard that a lot of 2006's had this problem. I've also heard that Ford can "reset" the unit, for a fee of course. I also have heard that Ford will just replace the unit with a re-manufactured "new" unit. Anyone else had this problem? Can a Ford dealer reset the unit? The car has 44k on it and is out of warranty. Re: 2006 Fusion CD Error code Quote Postby xplode » Sun Oct 04, 2009 10:04 am Update!! Ford "fixed" my problem with the CD player by installing a "new, reconditioned" one for $300+!! According to Ford, they've never heard of this problem....on a three year old car, with 45k on it, with the CD player being used very infrequently. But they were happy to install the "new" CD player in about 1 hour. By the way, I did not have a CD in the player. I was trying to load one when the error code popped up. With brake problems, stereo problems and interior trim pieces breaking and the "chrome" tape peeling off them, I am wondering if this car will make ten years before it has a major issue. I ejected 2 cd's and 3 or 4 days later when i tried to listen to my cd's it gave me a cd error message and said "no cd's" and it would not load a cd. I took it to my dealer
