Before I go ripping it apart, anyone got a suggestion for this? I can't load, unload, change, or play CD's. It just says "CD ERROR" on the display and reverts back to the radio. + 0 - #2 07-14-2006 zabeard who? iTrader: (8) I am: Zach Beard Join Date: Nov 2004 Location: IN Vehicle: 2003 Ford Ranger Drive Type: 4wd Engine: 5.4 Posts: 26,041 Total Props: 4 that is what happened to mine, it actually ruined a CD by scratching it. so i puleld it out and replaced it with an aftermarket unit. + 0 - #3 07-14-2006 pastfinder Memb

I'm just poking around ford fusion cd here looking for some advice. I purchased my 2006 ford fusion in August of 06 and have had no problems with it. Recently my in dash 6 cd changer has been experiencing errors when I try to eject or change the cd. It acts like it's going to work then after a few minutes I get an error on the screen saying either 'eject error' or 'cd error' Now it's to the point that I cannot remove my cd or play it. I called a dealership in the area(not where I bought it, they have closed) and asked them about it. They said they only take out the disc changer and send it off and give you a replacement to the tune of $300 to $400. I was just wondering if anyone else has had these problems and what they did to fix it. I was also wondering if there were any recalls on the stereo. My car has about 56,500 miles on it so it is outside of the factory warranty and this problem didn't start until after that warranty is up. Back to top Lose this advertisement by becoming a member. Any easy fix to reset? The player holds 6 disks, but there's only 1 in there right now. I can't eject it (it says "no disk") and I can't load a new disk in any of the open slots (it says "disk error"). The radio won't even switch into CD player mode. Any ideas? Normally means something in the inside is wrong. A warranty should cover it. I found a fix for his by accident. I was working on the car and needed to disconnect the battery. After I was finished with my work and reconnected the battery, the CD player spit out the jammed disk. First, if your CD player has any codes that must be entered when the battery is disconnected, get them now. Some factory audio systems have a security code that you can set. If the power is removed from the audio system, this code must be entered before the system will work. This is in case the system is stolen. It will b
