Since then, I've had issues with it not printing correctly or having the orange attention light flash, telling me that the printer was out of memory. To fix this problem, I would have to uninstall and then reinstall all the associated software that came with this printer and lower the resolution of the images I was trying to print.Today, like any other time when I go to print, I turned on the printer and waited until the normal green (ready) light was on. I then sent it a print job (in this case, a windows printer test page), and it reported through the hp toolbox software the following error code: 52: SCANNER ERROR. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN????And how can I get it to print again. The attention light, ready light, and https://www.manualslib.com/manual/274686/Hp-Laserjet-Color-Laserjet-2550.html?page=105 go light are all lite. Help please!!!!!!!!!Thanks,Disgruntled_hp_owner Respond to this 0 A scanner error means the laser scanner has gone bad and needs to be replaced. It could also be a DC controller failure, but the scanner is the most likely culprit. by Stephen on Jan 24, 2006 at 6:31pm Add comment Please sign in to comment could this also be my problem. I receive the three non binking lights go (green) ready (green) and caustion (red). One this the previous person did not mention. When I http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/35380 turn on the printer it does not go through the cycle. Also, I can not advance the toner carousel. I have turn the printer off, unpluged it from power, reconnected it the cables and it still won't go through the light cycles. and it still won't advance the tones? - vivian rayford 0 Can you advance it by releasing the toner brake on the carousel by DaDrunkenTech on Jan 31, 2006 at 12:40pm Add comment Please sign in to comment No, how do I release the toner brake on the carousel? - vivian rayford 0 Laser scanner issue. Replace the laser scanner. If that doesn't fix it. Replace the dc controller. Only parts related with this issue. by Anonymous on Jan 31, 2006 at 3:57pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 How do I release the toner brake on the carousel? by vivian rayford on Feb 9, 2006 at 8:03am Add comment Please sign in to comment Vivian, did you ever find out how to release the toner brake on the carousel? If the printer has a service error (Attention light, Ready light, and Go light are on), press and hold (GO) and http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/47496 (CANCEL JOB) at the same time to see the secondary error message. Then post the secondary code and I'll look it up. If no one responds with e decode of the secondary error within 24 hours of your post, then click on my name and an email box will open, send me a reminder, I have one of those day job things and it gets in the way of my hp color volunteer work sometimes. by Stephen on May 10, 2007 at 6:42pm Add comment Please sign in to comment secondary error message is simultaneously blinking ready and go light! - teekitizi 0 That error indicates the fuser motor, developer motor or main motor is not working. Sorry but not much you can do except turn on and turn off and then replace the bad motor but narrowing it down may hp color laserjet be difficult. You could try to remove the drum unit and turn on the printer and see if the motors turn and if so it would indicate that is the issue. by dmzcompute on May 12, 2007 at 8:06am Add comment Please sign in to comment took me a while to figure out how I could fool the printer that the lid was closed while it was open to see if motors turned. So what I saw when removing the drum unit and then turn it on was the turning of the revolver of printcartridges and next the 3 gears on the rightside that should turn the imaging drum insides, but then it stopped because it found out there was no imaging drum. How can I see further which moter is down? Please give enough details because I'm a novice when it comes to dismanteling the printer..... - teekitizi 0 I have the 3 lights on too and printer won't print. If I hold the 2 buttons the secondary error is that the 2 green lights stay on steady.. any idea what it means? The computer gives me the error that my printer is out of paper and it is not. by unknown on May 16,
