CAN ANYONE HELP by unknown on Aug 29, 2010 at 12:17pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 HiI don't have your exact model but the error indicates that the print head has gone over temperature for some reason. The only way that i know of to fix this is to replace the print head. N.B. Some machines have the print head as part of the cartridge, if yours has seperate tanks, remove the ink tanks and take out the print by lifting the grey lever up then lift out the head.Cheers by Printx on Aug 16, 2005 at 7:38pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks so much, I'll give it a go and let you know how I went!Cheers, you're a champ!Sar by sarcurtis on Aug 16, 2005 at 7:56pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Disconnecting and reconnecting the power worked for me by Anonymous on Sep 5, 2005 at 1:31pm Add comment Please sign in to comment thanks! i disconnected and reconnected and it worked fine. canons are so much more not user friendly than epson.. - Anonymous 0 Turn on

Hi You can Try seen lots of this errors Error Code 5100 Solution 1:Clean the timing strip.Solution 2:The purge cap (the ink cartridge stuck white sliding mechanism that the print head parks to when it's not in use) may be not lubricated well enough .Lubricate the sliders with some white grease (don't get it on the small wipers or the black caps); this repair probably require to remove the right panel off of the printer to gain access to the purge mechanism. Anyway, downloaded the drivers, all installed and good, have got new ink cartridge in it, and the printer keeps coming up with cartridge jammed, and then paper jammed, but no paper has gone through. Any suggestions, or does it need binning! geek_d.jo, Sep 16, 4:10 pm Are you sure you removed all of the bits of tape holding the flaps shut! They may have an orange tab at the end of each bit of tape. And the cartridges - are you sure you removed all of the packaging! And as well as eyeballing it closely for the tape and packaging, turn it upside down and shake it to see whether anything has fallen into it while in storage. geek_gyrogearloose, Sep 16, 4:20 pm Move the print head away from it's rest position and see if there is paper stuck in the cleaning station. geek_chito, Sep 16, 4:21 pm Thanks for this. will give it a try. geek_d.jo, Sep 16, 4:34 pm I've got a Canon Pixma MP110 here that works fine with Windows7. You just have to download the Win7 driver from the Canon NZ website. geek_peter148, Sep 16, 6:34 pm My previous printer was a MP110.I used it all the time, and printed hundreds of photos on it and it lasted for 5 years, I thought it was marvelous.Only reason I got rid of it was because the printer head became blocked. With thenewer printers, the printer heads are in the actual cartridge. geek_gdnshack, Sep 16, 9:20 pm Since the public registrations are closed, you must have an invite from a current member to be able to register and post in this thread.
