errors take the form: Copy Code Runtime error nnn at xxxxxxxx where http://delphi-techie.faithweb.com/rich_text_4.html nnn is the runtime error number, and xxxxxxxx is the runtime error address. Applications that use the SysUtils class map most runtime errors to http://docs.embarcadero.com/products/rad_studio/delphiAndcpp2009/HelpUpdate2/EN/html/devcommon/delphiruntimeerrors_xml.html Exceptions, which allow your application to resolve the error without terminating. Types of Runtime Errors Delphi runtime errors are divided into the following categories: I/O errors, numbered 100 through 149 Fatal errors, numbered 200 through 255 Operating system errors See Also Exception handling Resolving internal errors Fatal errors I/O errors Operating system errors Copyright(C) 2009 Embarcadero Technologies, Inc. a text file on floppy on an hourly basis, so that if our server fails we can print out an emergency paper appointment system. This application includes an e-mail facility which reports failures to relevant individuals. Today it reports an I/O http://www.delphigroups.info/2/ee/518981.html error 23, which I have never come across before, and can't find in any Delphi 5 documentation. Those I have recognised, and interpreted in the code are: 5 Access Denied (read-only file) 19 Write protected https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/11017941/I-O-Error-list.html 21 Device not ready (no disc in drive) 112 Disc full Does anyone know what I/O Error 23 means? TIA Michael George Newto Delphi Developer Wed, 21 Jan 2004 15:32:34 GMT Re:I/O error number 23 io error P.S. Also see the post in this ng, 'I/O Error 183(not in Delphi Help) 3 Aug, 3:23 PM' You want the reply from Rudy Velthuis. -- George Newton geor...@rabbithole.world.std.com (x the rabbit... when sending email) Michael Hendr Delphi Developer Wed, 21 Jan 2004 15:34:18 GMT Re:I/O error number 23 Thanks, George. It's also in the D5 version, but not accessed directly from Delphi Help. I haven't had a further message from the 8:15 run of the appointments backup program, io error 23 so the ERROR_CRC appears to have cleared itself. However, a new floppy disc might be a good investment... (ERROR_ARENA_TRASHED sounds interesting!). Michael Quote"George Newton"
