38 Javascript error message when launching DW I'm unexpectedly getting Javascript error messages upon launching adobe dreamweaver Dreamweaver CS3. I've been using DW CS3 for 4 years on almost a daily basis without any problems. I can click through the error message but the next page I open, I get another error message. I'm attaching screen shots. I ran a complete scan of my computer to search for virus/spyware issues with nothing. My original installation was part of https://helpx.adobe.com/dreamweaver/kb/troubleshoot-javascript-errors-dreamweaver-cs6-cc.html Creative Suite 3 Design Premium. I'm on Windows XP. mek113 View Public Profile Find More Posts by mek113 05-10-2011, 05:15 AM #2 johnMoss Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Dallas Posts: 867 What's the message? johnMoss View Public Profile Find More Posts by johnMoss 05-10-2011, 02:56 PM #3 mek113 Join Date: Feb 2008 Location: USA Posts: 38 I attached a screenshot file but it evidently didn't stick. Is that what you are actually getting as a response; Is this how it is being called in your code? Or just a typo here? If yes, remove the space in the code. If not, then this config file is compromised somehow, and the standard fix is to either rename the file or delete it entirely. My vote is to rename so you don't lose the original (just in case) in which case Dreamweaver is supposed to recreate the file for you and by default repair the problem. I've never done this before so I would ask for someone else here to validate this answer, but for now as long as you don't delete the file, no harm done in experimenting to see w

If you are experiencing a JavaScript errors related to "dwscripts" (see above) or if you are receiving a "translators javascript error were not loaded" error message when Dreamweaver 8 is starting up then you may try the following recommendations from the Adobe site:Remove the WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat file from the Dreamweaver user configuration folder. If that doesn't solve it, then recreate the Dreamweaver user configuration folder. Delete the following translators FileCache.dat files from the Dreamweaver user configuration folder.Delete the WinFileCache-7A9586CB.dat, MacFileCache-BFE7CE2E.dat, or FileCache.dat file from the Dreamweaver user configuration folder. It is recommended to delete the FileCache.dat file if you are experiencing a JavaScript error related to "dwscripts" or if you are receiving a "translators were not loaded" error message. The string of characters after "FileCache-" may differ on your machine. The location of the FileCache.dat file depends your operating system and your version of Dreamweaver.
