When I compile any program in Turbo C++ 3.0, I get the following error message: LINKER ERROR: UNABLE TO OPEN FILE 'TCLASSS.LIB' TCLASSS.LIB is a file found in the CLASSLIB zipped folder in the TURBOC30 folder. For some reason the linker can not open this. I got this version of C++ from the Borland Turbo C++ Suite. I dragged the TURBOC30 folder off of the CD and onto the desktop; I believe that this is necessary to do. Next, I used the "unzip" program, which http://www.dreamincode.net/forums/topic/120383-linker-error-unable-to-find-tclasslib/ caused the screen to temporarily turn black. The folders seemed to remain zipped-up-looking. Then I used the install.exe and followed the instructions, taking the files off of the C drive (No drive works from the CD, which is why I had to place the TURBOC30 folder onto the desktop). The Turbo C++ 3.0 program will run, but this linker error I always get makes me think that maybe I installed the C++ incorrectly. I used the install.exe https://www.gidforums.com/t-4206.html again, but this did not solve my problem. Thinking that maybe the TCLASSS.LIB was not being integrated into my program because it looked zipped up in the folder, I used the "extract all" option from the right mouse button to make unzipped-up folders. I tried to use install.exe, but it said "Too Many Directories." I erased the original zipped-up versions, but this same "Too Many Directories" message came up again. Can anyone figure out what may be wrong here? #2 30-Nov-2004, 12:20 FeebleWizard New Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 6 Oops, sorry for the silly question. All I have to do is turn off the Container Class and the Turbo Vision under the Options > Linker > Libraries. « Previous Thread | Next Thread » Thread Tools Show Printable Version Email this Page Search this Thread Advanced Search Rate This Thread Excellent Good Average Bad Terrible Posting Rules You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts vB code is On Smilies are On [IMG] code is On HTML code is Off Forum Jump User Control Panel Private Messages Subscriptions Who's Online Search Forums Forums Home Webmaster Forums Web Design Forum Webmaster / Web Designing Advertisements & Offers Websites Reviewed Forum

When I try to compile my project, I get this : [Linker Error] Unable to open file 'CHARTGROUPFRAME.DFM' CHARTGROUPFRAME.CPP Unit is a part of a project, so this is a bug of course. How do I fix this problem? linker c++builder c++builder-2007 share|improve this question edited Mar 9 at 8:52 maazza 2,61823059 asked Jun 19 '09 at 22:04 dempl_dempl 9818 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote accepted I've found a workoutaround for this problem :) . I've only needed to add a directory in which .DFM file resides to my Library Path Btw, this is supposed to be set by the IDE when I add a unit to the project ... but , at least this works :) share|improve this answer answered Jun 19 '09 at 22:31 dempl_dempl 9818 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
