The backup report is saved in the profiles folder of the user who performed the backup operation. You can view the reports by clicking Report on the Tools menu in Backup. The corresponding Backup##.log files are located in the following folder: "Documents and Settings\User_Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows NT\NTbackup\Data" The following KB article describes how to copy and rename the log files so that they are stored in an alternate folder using a Date-time.log naming convention. How to Save Backup Report Logs to an Alternate Location http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;241162 I hope this helps. Solved SBS2003 Backup Error Posted on 2013-07-26 Exchange SBS Microsoft IIS Web Server 1 Verified Solution 3 Comments 267 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-08 log file Here is the logging error on my SBS2003 backup up log. We had an issue with a virus that has been resolved the only issue left is the backup. I can and have run an Exchange backup to ensure a copy of the mailstore but for restore purposes I really would like to have the full SBS Backup in place. I have checked permissions ntbackup log file and have respawned the backup script file but I am still having the same issue. I have attempted to run it manually and receive the same result. The backup is to a server harddrive with plenty of space and appropriate permissions.
