I used this document with some changes. 1 Anaheim OP Gerjan9216 Aug 12, 2013 at 8:49 UTC Okay, Then that makes my decision very easy. Is Spark the best client-side for OpenFire because it seems like it bled dry. The last build is from July 1, 2011. So it seems like that might give certain security risks. 1 Thai Pepper OP Vasily Ignatov Aug 12, 2013 at 9:40 UTC The main risk is the old version of JRE. The spark client https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/368834-openfire-configuration-problems installer checks the JRE version - it needs min 1.5, max - 1.6. To prevent system wide installing of the old version of JRE, download and install the fresh one. In this case spark client installer will place old JRE in its own folder. Edited Aug 12, 2013 at 10:00 UTC 1 Chipotle OP Kendall Aug 12, 2013 at 2:01 UTC Any XMPP / Jabber client should work with Openfire. I would avoid the Spark client due to the security issues mentioned above. 0 Anaheim OP Gerjan9216 Aug 12, 2013 at 2:29 UTC Kendall do you have any suggestions on which to use? Because if i read Vasily's post then the risk can be made quite small. However I'm open for suggestions on other Clients. 0 Poblano OP Mateus Santos Aug 12, 2013 at 2:53 UTC 1st Post Bro, I highly recommend the openfire. Client can be Spark or Padion. If u can pay for some solution, use Microsoft Lync. 0 Mace OP George1421 Aug 12, 2013 at 2:58 UTC We have some clients that use Pidgin with success. You just have to watch because the user can connect to more than just Openfire. 0 Thai Pepper OP Vasily Ignatov Aug 12, 2013 at 6:19 UTC I made my choice for Spark because of the great administrative message box with a red beacon. It's impressive for users :) 2 Anaheim OP Gerjan9216 Aug 14, 2013 at 9:44 UTC Well I chose for OpenFire and when trying to instal

Please see the log log file file: C:\Program Files\eclipse\configuration\1362989254411.log. Some websites say to uninstall jdk and install it back again. I did that, but it didn't work. I think it was because on their website, the error is happening IN the workspace. Mine is on the program files folder, which is in the computer. It happened after updating it. Should I downgrade. If so, how? If I can't downgrade, what should I do? All i had to do was re-import my projects. –Ozan Atmar Jul 12 '14 at 7:44 2 In my case the problem was the user did not have the proper permissions in the eclipse installation folder. Changing the permissions fixed it for me. –Decko Apr 20 '15 at 19:23 1 This happened to me with Eclipse Version: Mars Release (4.5.0) on Windows 8 after I got the Windows blue screen of death with a CRITICAL STRUCTURE CORRUPTION (Ntfs.sys).
