Quicklinks Crash and Performance Troubleshooting Clean Installation (Reinstalling) Performing a Winsock Reset Connection Troubleshooting Crash and Performance Troubleshooting If you experience a crash or performance problem with Magic Online, follow these steps: Check System Requirements Verify that your computer meets the minimum system requirements for Magic Online. Connection Troubleshooting Refer to the the Connection http://magic.wizards.com/fr/node/394531 Troubleshooting section below to see if you may be having issues caused by your internet connection. Ultimately any issues with your connection need to be solved by you, a computer repair professional, and/or your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Password Management Programs If you are using a password management program, check your application settings to make sure that it is not automatically attaching to Windows applications. Programs like these can cause serious performance issues with the client. Clean Reinstall For all other issues, follow the steps below to uninstall Magic Online and perform a clean install. Clean Installation (Reinstalling) These steps should resolve a wide range of issues including (but not limited to) a bad installation, improperly cached files, or corrupted files. It is important that you follow these steps in order (including restarting your computer) to make sure the cache clearing happens and that the new installation is completely fresh. Uninstall Magic Online Press Windows key + R or go to Start -> Run (or Search -> Run, then Click Run in Windows 8) In the box type: control appwiz.

K kistrand last edited by So I just got a new computer with Windows 10 on it and now the MTGO client crashes upon startup. I have contacted Wizards but none of their tips work (my .net https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms229001.aspx version is the correct one etc). Has anyone else experienced problems with windows 10 and the MTGO client and, if so, how did you get them resolved? Reply Quote 0 M McAra last edited by McAra I recently had this problem. magic online The issue was, apparently, that the MODO faeries came into my house at night and magically broke my install, since it worked for a while and then stopped. I fixed it by redownloading a fresh setup.exe from their site and trying it all over. Good times. Still don't know why it did that, is it giving you a framework error when it tries to update? That was my issue. Edit - I just remembered that when I reinstalled, I put it on magic online application D:\ instead of C:, but I have no idea why that helped. Fresh install on C:\ had same error as before. Reply Quote 1 K kistrand last edited by @McAra @McAra Unfortunately downloading a new setup-file doesn't work, I've tried it many times. The online support-chat thought it was a problem with the wrong microsoft.net version but nope, I have the right one. I can still use my old computer for MTGO but really need it to work on the new one too (don't want to drag two laptops with me on travels....) Oh and are you on a Mac? A friend of mine partitioned a huge amount of space for just Windows and MODO and eventually found that Windows had just eaten up every gig and that was why MODO was unhappy. Reply Quote 0 K kistrand last edited by kistrand @McAra @McAra it starts loading and I see the login screen but then an error message (a long one) appears stating that there has been a fatal error and the program needs to shut down. I also have the option to send the error log to wizards, which have done. The log is really long and I am not able to pinpoint exactly what the
