The probles was that the restore you did, you specified NORECOVERY. To get the database out of this state, you would just executin something like:RESTORE DATABASE dbname WITH RECOVERYTibor Karaszi, SQL Server MVP http://www.karaszi.com/sqlserver/default.asp http://sqlblog.com/blogs/tibor_karaszi Sunday, June 07, 2009 11:40 AM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote I got the same problema related from ABBSA8786, And I can't retore my database.... executing RESTORE DATABASE dbname WITH RECOVERY... any thing else I can do to solve it ???? What I did was an initial mistake and went like thishad a db called "A", on Server-1asked to take a db called "Z" on Server-
database at all. System Error displays when you click on the database properties "Error 927: Database cannot be opened. It is in a middle of the restore". It sounds like the SQL database is hung up. You can restart the DB service in services in the Control Panel or run DBCC CHECKDB command. But these solutions are very complicated and may cause loss of data. The main reason of the occurrence of this internal SQL error 927 is an imperfect situation which originates because of hardware failure or virus attacks. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/c233823e-93c8-40bc-b699-e43999292c5a/sql-server-error927-and-restoring?forum=sqldatabaseengine To fix SQL error 927 like disaster use the entrusted SQL Server database recovery software which enables the database to respond it well without any type of data loss. This works ms sql normally on SQL Server 2014. After I restore (WITH NORECOVERY) mirror database with full and log backups of primary database I normally run configure setup. Maybe confirm your steps - as per blog.strobaek.org/2013/05/02/… –Anthony Horne Jun 24 at 9:53 I did exactly same steps on SQL Server 2014 and it works fine, but when I do it on 2016 I get error 927... Could this be bug in SQL Server 2016? –Cubone Jun 24 at 10:31 Sadly I am also struggling with a upgrade from 2012 to 2016, with a few nights of upgrade / revert to snapshot... I feel your pain! Maybe the old adage of waiting for SP1 is the answer... –Anthony Horne Jun 24 at 11:39 Did you get it to work? Cause I have the same error here.. The last backups are supposed to be "NORECOVERY".. –Danielle Paquette-Harvey 4 hours ago add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using

I was using SQL Server 2008 Enterprise R2 RTM. I was trying to set up mirroring on a database that was encrypted using the new feature introduced in SQL Server 2008 called Transparent Database Encryption (TDE). In this blog I am not going to give the details on how to set up mirroring, for that I need to write a separate blog. I was trying to set up mirroring using GUI. I completed all the configurations and the moment I tried to Start the mirroring I got the below exception: I think there is some issue with SSMS GUI. To workaround this problem I used TSQL to setup mirroring and it worked. I have already created the endpoints with default Port 5022 to configure mirroring so I am not going to show how to create Endpoints using TSQL in this Blog. -On Mirror Server, execute the following TSQL: ALTER DATABASE
