HardwickJanuary 30, 200574 0 0 0 Yesterday I finally diagnosed a problem that a friend’s laptop has had for a while: whenever she tried to install Office 2003 Service Pack 1, it would throw up an error about not finding sku111.cab download a file called SKU111.CAB. A week ago I’d confidently tried to fix this by sku111 cab free download downloading the “fullfile” version of Office 2003 SP1 onto the laptop. The fullfile version contains everything needed for an update, as
Microsoft Office 2003 Sku011.cab Download
compared to the much smaller normal version which requires you to find your original installation CDROM (but is faster to download from Office Update). So I was pretty annoyed when it threw up exactly the

same error: couldn’t find SKU111.CAB. My next step was to try repairing the original installation first, from Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. This asked for the original installation CDROM, span it up and down a few times… and then complained about not being able to find SKU111.CAB. Ok, this was getting personal. Which brings us to this weekend, and a lot of Google hits for other people with the sku011.cab office 2003 download same problem. Thankfully, Eric Longman’s post “Can’t find SKU111.CAB” pointed to the solution: You've got the wrong install CD. Voila! Turns out that my friend actually had three different installation CDs for Office 2003 (it’s a long story…). One session of CD-swapping later and the laptop was happily installing SP1. Thanks Eric! Office such as reinstalling it, repairing it, installing SP3, etc the error SKU001.CAB is missing may appear looking for a CD or other installation files. It seems that even if you have the Microsoft Office files on your hard drive or if you insert your original CD that it still can't find this cab file. This error may also occur when https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/jonathanh/2005/01/30/what-to-try-when-office-update-cant-find-sku111-cab/ simply launching any of the applications in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel or Powerpoint particularaly after an crash or a previous update was applied which is very annoying indeed. Common Symptoms When re-installing, repairing, upgrading or just launching an application from the Microsoft Office suite the error "SKU001.CAB is missing" appears. Explanation This error is occurring because a registry entry is http://www.proposedsolution.com/solutions/ms-office-problem-sku001-cab-is-missing/ incorrectly set and setup is looking in the wrong place. Solution - Change CDCACHE Registry Entry If you still have the error message on your screen then close down all open windows including the error so that you have no programs running. Click Start > Run Type regedit and hit ENTER or click OK You should see the navigation tree in the left pane. Navigate to the following keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Microsoft Office 11.0 Delivery Inside the Delivery Key there should be one more key which is a long string of numbers for example: 90103207-6000-11A1-9CEE-1160028683D9 Click on the key and then you should see some entries in the right hand pane. Double click on the entry CDCache Change the value to 0 Important Note Depending on your version of Microsoft Office the registry path may be different. The above path and delivery key is only examples. Yours will look similar but not necessarily identical. The important entry to find is the CDCACHE entry. Click OK and then exit the Registry and retry the MS Office installation. Share this:ShareClick to share on Face

POST 22 : the problem of SKU011.CAB change setup.ini CDCACHE=0 POST 69 : Marcio in #22 had the solution that worked for me. Go into Registry Editor (Start, Run, "regedit"). Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Office, 11.0, Delivery. There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. Change the value to 0. This worked for me, but be very careful anytime you edit the system registry.
