Solution This behavior is corrected in Memory Reference Code Release (MRC) version 2.0.0.3 that is incorporated in system UEFI firmware Version 1.60, Build ID: tke140y. The file is available by selecting the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating system on IBM Support's Fix Central web page, at the following URL: http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/ Workaround There are two workaround options available for this issue. Workaround 1 Change memory performance mode in the UEFI F1 Setup menu, from Max Performance to Balanced Performance: Select F1 System Configuration and Boot Manager. Select System Settings -> Operating Modes Select Operating Mode to Custom Mode. Change Memory Speed from Max Performance to Balanced Performance. Select Save Settings. Exit UEFI. Workaround 2 Use UEFI Version 1.42 - Build ID: TKE130D, which can be located using these steps: Navigate to IBM Fix Central Web page and select the appropriate Product Group, type of System, Product name, Product machine type, and Operating syste

I https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28036158/URGENT-ibm-x3650-m3-vmware-hardware-alarm-Bus-Uncorrectable-error.html can't find much info on the alert - is it a concern? the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now We have a dual esxi 5.5 cluster with 2 IBM x3530 M4's ( 2x Xeon E5-2450 and 96 gig memory) connected to an IBM v3700 DAS. Both hosts https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/619346-vmware-esxi-5-5-cluster-hosts-keep-crashing are running esxi 5.5.0 2143827. They are in a fail over cluster with one server running all 13 VM's and the other just waiting. They run fine for about a month then start failing with errors "Memory, Group 4 CPUs: Bus Uncorrectable error, Group 1 One of the DIMMS 0: Uncorrectable ECC". IBM has been out to replace the system board, both CPU's, all the memory DIMMS and back plain. Also both servers are running esxi from an IBM on system commercial graded USB drive connected to hypervisor port on system board which has also been replaced. Since same error messages happen on both servers, I am starting to think it is a vmware issue? Has anyone ran into this kind of issue, and if so what was your fix? I have had similar issues with IBM products and the solution was to update all the firmwares to the latest release. i do mean every firmware ... not just the computer bios. Thanks 0 Anaheim OP Jon5733 Oct 28, 2014 at 6:20 UTC We have upgraded all the firmwares using IBM bomc tool 9.61 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year.
