event in the Advanced Management Module (AMM) or Management Module (MM) log stating sensor planar fault has transitioned to critical from a less severe state that the blade 0.9v Rail is under voltage. The event log will state the 0.9v voltage is ".76 .75 +/- .03V." and log

an error. Affected configurations The system may be any of the following IBM servers: BladeCenter HS21, type 8853, any model This Tip is not option specific. This Tip is not software specific. Solution This behavior will be corrected in a future release of the Baseboard Management memory logging limit reached for memory device Controller (BMC) code. The Target date for this release is scheduled for third quarter 2007. The file will be available from the IBM System x Support web site at the following URL: http://www.ibm.com/systems/support/ Workaround A single or non-persistent 0.9V under voltage event can be ignored. If multiple 0.9V under voltage events per reboot session are logged, then the system board should be replaced. Additional Information A new BMC code will change the Blade 0.9 v rail thresholds to .5v (lower) and 1.4 (upper). The code change only resolves random occurrences and does not resolve stuck faults.
