Solution: Check your environment path its size must be less than 1024 http://shahiddba.blogspot.com/2012/12/forms60-vrf78-oserror.html character. Fix it some around 900 characters such as C:\Oracle\Dev6\BIN Be sure to save the value of the PATH in some text file BEFORE modifying it. Always backup your registry before modifying it to so any thing goes wrong you can import again the previous registry. Check my other post "How to Export the current registry setting as a backup": While re-installing it is better to stop your anti virus. May be possibility antivirus will interrupt your installation process. When restoring the PATH to the original value (after Forms installation and restart), don't forget to add the new Oracle home part of the PATH (e.g. C:\Oracle\Dev6\BIN). Added it to the end, to preserve old Oracle settings. I'd use XP instead. If you, for some reason, don't want to use Windows XP as the "main" operating system, install virtual machine (such as VirtualBox), put XP onto it and, finally, install Forms 6i. I know, that's me and my opinion which you most probably won't follow. Therefore: how are you installing Forms? Do you have privileges to write to a directory specified in the path? I guess that you should have administrative rights in order to be able to continue the installation process. Also, pay attention to directory name and try to avoid names with spaces in it (i.e. not "C:\Oracle\Forms 6i\" but "C:\Oracle\Forms6i").
