Then I would do a full factory reset and start again setup. Use simple names, for TC and wireless, no spaces, no strange characters .. pure alphanumeric. If you have partial TM first backup, delete it and start again. If you did upgrade install of Lion, it can have corrupted something so do a disk verify first. http://pondini.org/TM/Troubleshooting.htmlFull reset to Time Machine as well.. A4 and A5 in the first section there. But that particular error is not listed AFAIK. I've set up afp on my 12.04 headless server, and it's working https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2183095 well, but I can't seem to get a Time Machine backup going. It finds the two backup volumes (one for my wife, and one for me), and it has me log in, but then I get the OSStatus error 2, saying "Time Machine can't access the backup disk..." I've already chowned the /media/raidmount/Casey's Time Machine/ folder, and set permissions from 755 to 775 to 777, and nothing is working. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you fix it? I recently had to reboot my Linksys router and subsequently had to reset my Time capsule. I had no problem connecting and backing up my laptop. However, I received the following error when I try to connect my MAC desktop to my backup disk: OSStatus error -6602 I went ahead and erased the entire disk and still receive this error.Did anyone experience the same issue and have any possible solution? Aug 21, 2015 Messages: 31 Thanks Received: 0 Trophy Points: 4 Location: Manchester I've done this before and it worked straight off, following this guide: http://www.notquitemainstream.com/b...-machine-for-multiple-macs-on-freenas-9-2-1-3 I'm only trying to get one computer to access the Time Machine share. This is the process I followed I created a group - time-machine Created a dataset - Time-Machine, inside my dataset called Backups Changed permissions of dataset so time-machine group is owner and group is checked for read, write & execute created a user for the computer - danmacpro with primary group as time-machine created an AFP share pointing at the Time-Machine dataset, with @time-machine in the allow & read&write lists, time machine box is checked. When I try to connect to the share from my Mac I put in username and password but get a message saying: Time Machine can't access the backup disk "Time Machine". The operation couldn't be completed (OSStatus error 2.) If anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate it. Like I said, I did it before as per the guide and it worked straight away. I connect to the share, open Time M
