If not please create the same and compile the project. It will work for sure. –Shailesh Jul 27 '12 at 6:00 3 Yes I do have GodsCreationTaxidermy.Core.MvcApplication (Global.asax.cs) –PsychoCoder Jul 27 '12 at 6:05 The Global.asax file that seems to be used (according to the screen shot) looks different than the one you have shown. –Darin Dimitrov Jul 27 '12 at 6:11 check to see if the Inherits string is the same as the path to the class in your application (namespace + pathname), that is they are both GodsCreationTaxidermy.Core.MvcApplication –linkerro Jul 27 '12 at 6:17 That's one of the issues Darin, no matter what I do it always leaves the Core part out –PsychoCoder Jul 27 '12 at 16:30 | show 3 more comments

I was wondering if someone can http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11682216/parser-error-message-could-not-load-type-in-global-asax help identify the cause of this error? I am completely new to asp / asax. After some research, I think that the error I am getting is due to the web application trying to use outdated code. I was thinking to rebuild the c# file using Visual Studio and/or the entire project. However, I am completely new to C# and asp, and was wondering can give me some suggestions if this may fix the problem and/or if there is an possible http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15071220/parser-error-message-could-not-load-type-sometype alternate solution. Please explain your problem in more detail.. Why are you inheriting Inventory1.Global class for the global.asax ? Do you know anything about global.asax and how it is formed? is there anything else in that file? what are the contents of the Global object? –Kemal Emin Feb 25 '13 at 16:16 1 As you figured it out, you seem to be missing the Inventory.Global which should be located in Inventory1.dll in the /bin folder of your webapp. (Re)Building the whole webapp seems like a good idea –jbl Feb 25 '13 at 16:16 add a comment| 10 Answers 10 active oldest votes up vote 12 down vote accepted Try replacing CodeBehind with CodeFile share|improve this answer answered Jun 3 '13 at 5:50 Taha Rehman Siddiqui 1,0201535 Could you please explain why this solved AnchovyLegend's problem? However, I'm not sure if my solution will apply to you or not since I see your "Version Information" is already set to at least a higher version of the Framework than I had. Anyway, here's what I did: 1) Installed the same version of the Framework as what was on my laptop - my web server actually had the default Framework for 2k3. 2) Changed the web site configuration to use the new Framework on the asp.net tab. 3) My publish was failing to copy the code page up to the server - copied the "default.aspx.cs"
