However, there are some errors while linking: ln: ./libsvn_wc-1.dylib: Permission denied Error: The linking step did not complete brew.rb permission denied successfully The package built, but is not symlinked into /usr/local You can try again using `brew link subversion' Error: Could not create symlink /usr/local/lib/libsvn_wc-1.dylib. Brew Update Cannot Load Such File

Then now I have the following output. (My brewu is an alias to brew update && brew outdated) ~ ❯❯❯ brewu error: unable to unlink old '.gitignore' (Permission denied) Error: Failure while executing: git pull --quiet origin https://github.com/Homebrew/legacy-homebrew/issues/41665 refs/heads/master:refs/remotes/origin/master Running the command again will get me to this ~ ❯❯❯ brewu Stashing your changes: M Library/Homebrew/cmd/doctor.rb D Library/Homebrew/test/.gitignore error: unable to unlink old '.gitignore' (Permission denied) Error: Failure while executing: git pull --quiet origin refs/heads/master:refs/remotes/origin/master If anyone is running El Capitan, can you please confirm whether this is my issue or it's universal for homebrew under the beta OS? No updates anymore. How to fix? $ brew update && brew upgrade error: Unable to append to .git/logs/HEAD: Permission denied error: Unable to append to .git/logs/refs/remotes/origin/master: Permission denied Error: Failed to update tap: caskroom/cask $ brew doctor Please note that these warnings are just used to help the Homebrew maintainers with debugging if you file an issue.
