Error In Named Configuration Permission Denied

this. I was wrong. At this point, I am getting a permission denied error when starting up named. Below are the log entries: Dec 13 16:42:05 ds01 named[731]: starting BIND 9.2.4 -u named -t /var/named/chroot Dec 13 22:42:05 ds01 named[731]: using named loading configuration: permission denied 1 CPU Dec 13 16:42:05 ds01 named: named startup succeeded Dec 13 22:42:05 ds01 named[731]: loading configuration from '/etc/named.conf' Dec 13 22:42:05 ds01 named[731]: none:0: open: /etc/named.conf: permission denied Dec 13 22:42:05 ds01 named[731]: loading configuration: permission denied Dec 13 22:42:05 ds01 named[731]: exiting (due to fatal error) As you can see, I am running named in a jail. The configuration file is located in /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf. Here are the permissions: -rw-r--r-- 1 root named 89420 Dec 13 16:31 named.conf Can anyone see what might be wrong here? I get a serverfail when i http://serverfault.com/questions/447913/bind-permission-errors attempt it. This is from the syslogs.
