After searching in the forum about my problem, I found these topic : http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61560 To test, I ftp permission denied 550 created a new website but I still have the problem I used resync tool too,
550 Can't Create Directory. Permission Denied
my server server was rebooted too, but I still have the problem. Any suggestion? I cannot upload or create anything in the ftp root's directory.Click to expand... Thats ftp create directory operation failed correct and the intended behaviour. FTP users may not upload anything to the website root directory. Website files have to be uploaded to the "web" directory and thats possible with the ftp user. If you want to upload files by FTP that shall not be visible in the website, then they have to be uploaded into the private folder of the site. Last edited: May 1, 2013 till, May 1, 2013 #2 Whax

Moderns frameworks like laravel, fuelphp or symfony example need to put some data outside the document root. Is there a way to prevent this? Thanks for support. WhaX Whax, May 1, 2013 #3 till Super Moderator Staff Member ISPConfig Developer You can put data outside of the docroot into the private folder if your framework requires that. If the web root folder would be writable by the ftp user, then your clients would be able to make apache fail by renaming folders like web. till, May 1, 2013 #4 Whax New Member If I do that I must hack the framework to work with the private directory by changing all paths. This is not the good way if I choose to update the framework later. This limitation wasn't on previous ispconfig versions :/ Clients can be stupid I know, but there is not the case most of times, and I'm here to fix that Whax, May 1, 2013 #

Need to transfer a build site published to disk folder to the wamp server, or directly from the web builder to the local server (remote server isn't a prob at all) but a 550 Permission denied https://www.howtoforge.com/community/threads/550-cant-create-directory-permission-denied.61679/ and Critical file transfer error don't let me write a single file to the folder, nor even can't create folders. I found no answer here at the forum related to this issue that could give some clue. Really need assistance.Thank you in advance. As it currently is, it doesn't let you create directories. _________________### BEGIN SIGNATURE BLOCK ###No support requests per PM! You will NOT get any reply!!!FTP connection problems? My manager is able to connect with no issues and it's been a long time since he set it up. We added a Windows account for me and I'm able to connect, ftp error cannot but unable to access folders. We set the permissions on the server so I have full control, but it still doesn't seem to want to allow me to access it. Any idea what we might be missing? We've tried restarting the FTP service, but that didn't seem to work either. FileZilla logs: Status: Retrieving directory listing... Did you ensure that account has permission to access the folders/files themselves (at the Windows file system level)? Can you create your own new folders successfully?
