to no avail it is not working. I might have missed some steps but I would like to get additional information as the wiki resource have very little information./3482 I have installed the latest version of bitnami-alfreso, migrated the https://community.bitnami.com/t/alfresco-migration/7686 data folder and have restored the database and edited some parts of the global configuration file (basically just changed 127.x.x.x to my preferred ip). I have started mysql and tomcat service and http://fcorti.com/2014/10/13/how-to-install-alfresco-5-0-ubuntu-14-04-lts/ everything went up properly but when I tried to log in I get an error message that says: Here is what alfresco is saying when I try to log in: The remote permission denied server may be unavailable or your authentication details have not been recognized For additional info below is the copy of alfresco.log 02:34:52,526 WARN [org.alfresco.repo.activities.post.lookup.PostLookup] Still busy ... 06:56:22,586 WARN [org.alfresco.repo.activities.post.lookup.PostLookup] Still busy ... And if you plan to try again into a new fresh installation, maybe you would like to know that BitNami Alfresco 4.0.e-0 have been released today. jonas 2012-10-09 10:46:15 UTC #3 Hi Victor, Thank you for the information. I'll try to migrate alfresco to the latest version and do the migration procedures. I'll post additional information from alfresco.log and possibly mysqld.log as I forgot to post it. I'll post again later after testing. Thanks victor 2012-10-09 10:49:00 UTC #4 Please, come also if you have success and tell us about it. jonas 2012-10-11 08:10:25 UTC #5 Hi Victor and to others, Sorry for posting a very long post. But I feel that I need to include everything for analysis. I've already installed bitnami-alfresco-4.0.e-0 and followed the steps again, I have documented the step by step procedures and also posted the logs below. One of the new concerns is that there is now alfresco.log that is being generated as the catalinga-daemon.out says: INFO: The listener "org.apache.myfaces.webapp.StartupServletCo

Even if the 5-th version is quite different from the 4-th version, the installation process is more or less the same… but let's describe exactly the differences. The operating system choosen for the tutorial is Ubuntu 14.04.01 LTS. Differently from the other post, the tutorial is separated in two parts: the installation of the dependencies and the Alfresco installation. As we like and prefer, the installation is a step by step list of commands and tasks: simpler to understand, to do and to test. Hope you’ll be agree. Part 1 - Installation of the dependencies Starting from a vanilla installation of Ubuntu O.S. 14.04.01 LTS, let's update the libraries and configurations. sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get purge openjdk-* Now it's time to add a new user called alfresco, we will use for the installation (password: alfresco). adduser alfresc
