As for the events and formatting no longer working, using JavaScript and jquery to select things can cause issues. When you use document.getElementById it will update the DOM and the rendered page but it will n

This causes problem with saving the form later (modal window is not closing). IE is working error permission denied with a standard server compatibility settings and tested solution worked before without a doubt. I've tried to deploy older packages (which I'm sure worked) on several different collections and webs and the problem persists. Error occurs only in Internet Explorer with standard settings - forcing IE9 mode and newer in Developer Tools makes it disappear. From what I red most of that kind of problems are caused by opening modal window from different host (strict cross-origin policy), but in my case it happens even with a standard 'Add Element' modal window opened from SharePoint list directly. Error occurs with every reference to JavaScript document object. javascript ie share|improve this question edited Jan 3 at 13:57 Robert Lindgren♦ 19.3k62952 asked Jan 3 at 9:59 radekskl 211 Are your AAMs configured correctly? The cross-domain problems may occur if AAM are not configured well (i.e. accessing the site with a URL not correctly defined in AAM). –Evariste Jan 3 at 16:14 I have seen this same behavior recently on a site collection that used a custom master page. Is this by chance your case too? –SPArchaeologist Jan 3 at 20
Jun 12, 2014 12:25 AM by Matt Morgenroth Unexpected error Permission Denied thrown from Internet Explorer Aaron Judy Jun 10, 2014 10:34 AM One of my clients has complained about a persistent fatal error experienced, using Internet Explorer configured by their Enterprise desktop policies, when accessing the web application I manage. The web application embeds Tableau views for reporting and dashboard purposes. The complaint takes one of two forms an infinite spinner or an unexpected error dialog box thrown by Tableau. This fatal error started around Tableau version 7.0.3. I worked with Tableau support to secure a Band-Aid introduced in version 7.0.13 (which resolved the error.) Recently my company migrated to Tableau Server version 8.1.6 and found the fatal errors had returned. We did not use Tableau 8.0 in Production.IMPACTED BROWSERSMicrosoft Internet Explorer Version 9, 10, 11 and likely going forward.IMPACTED TABLEAU FEATURETableau embedded views into another web application.PROBLEM:After completely rendering the embedded view in the browser, Tableau Server consistently throws an unknown error message dialog box. The error message states, "An unexpected error occurred. If you continue to receive this error please contact your Tableau Server administrator. TypeError: Permission denied." Using the Console tab within the Developer tools, the following JavaScript error is documented: SCRIPT16385: Not implemented on line 135, character 5. Below is a screenshot of the view source for the Tableau view. The JavaScript is using the window.top.postMessage method to communicate to the top window that the Tableau view is loaded (i.e. turn-off the spinner.)RESOLUTION:Tableau Support returned a link to a site that is to document browser support for various HTML features. Basically, the site stated that, if using iFrames, Cross Document Messaging should work in Internet Explorer. http://caniuse.com/#feat=x-doc-messaging Not
