For example, a client may be really slow at solving IP addresses by host name, or may not be able to solve them at all, or the client may fail to retrieve a file from the storage area, or file operations may be really slow. To eliminate these problems you can configure the [NameResolution] section of a server`s dmskrnl.cfg file, and then point the client to that server. If that doesn't help resolve the issue please open a Service Ticket, and attache the users pwc.log file, perferably with the logging level set to all, then reproduce the failure and send that pwc.log file in when creating the service ticket. I have experienced people that had all the ipand hoststuff right but not get datasources unless that checkbox was checked. Cancel Gary Cochrane Fri, Jul 10 2009 6:34 PM I
Files ... Cancel Answered Error 32768, Cannot login remotely. Hi all, For demo purpose, I recently setup a projectWise server, everything works fine, except the remote logging in. All users cannot login to the server either through Explorer or Admin client, however, if I install the two software and login locally on the server itself, it work http://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/f/342986/t/29602 perfectly. The network configuration on client is as follow: Name: Demo Hostname: 192.168.10.53 Port: 5800 Could this be due to wrong configuration of the Integration server? Best regards, Minh Nguyen Explorer v8i SS4 login Minh Nguyen Wed, Jan 8 2014 11:44 PM Cancel http://communities.bentley.com/products/projectwise/content_management/f/342986/t/93747 All Responses Answers Only Darius.Perminas Fri, Jan 10 2014 1:02 AM In reply to Marty.Nickel: PW Network Configuration applet must be configured with hostnames and 'Prevent UDP' checkbox hard-checked if you want to specifically point to concrete PW Integration Server. --- Minh Nguyen has registered a Service Request for this earlier yesterday and case above has been confirmed as working solution.
