Hp 4250 Firmware Update
TheMeq Oct 1, 2013 at 2:07 UTC "This is a firmware error and is most times caused by a print job that confuses the printer. First disconnect the printer from the network or computer and then turn it on and see if https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/49-4c06-service-error/td-p/5195582 it comes to ready. If it does, remove any jobs in the printqueue on the computer and/or server so nothing is trying to print to the printer. Now turn the printer back on and see if the message is still gone. If it is check what driver you are using and change to another. Example if using pcl6 driver change to pcl5 or vice versa or use the postscript (ps) driver and see if that solves the issue. The last thing I would https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/389187-hp-4350-error-49-4c06 do is upgrade the firmware as most times from I have seen it is one document or application causing the issue and changing the driver usually resolves the issue since sometimes upgrading the firmware will cause other issues contrary to what hp says." source: http://h30499.www3.hp.com/t5/Printers-LaserJet/LJ-4350-Error-Code-49-4C06/td-p/965762
2 Sonora OP Frank1049 Oct 1, 2013 at 5:08 UTC Thanks for your help. I suspected it may be a print job. The printer is suddenly up and running again. I, too, am wary of firmware upgrades. I saw BIG problems with an HP 4350 firmware upgrade at another job. 0 Pimiento OP anitaking Sep 10, 2015 at 6:50 UTC 1st Post Thanks Meq. It worked for me by disconnecting the computer from the printer and turning it off and back on. That was a simple solution. I hope that fixed the problem. Anita 0 Pimiento OP GazLamp Jun 29, 2016 at 2:45 UTC 1st Post Thanks TheMeq! The print job was a recipe from a website. It's happened before to me, but on a different printer and different PC. 0 Sonora OP bng Aug 12, 2016 at 1:16 UTC Ok, so I was getting this error message on our production HP 4730MFP printer. The funny thing was, when I disconnected the ethernet cable then the printer would be fine and go to a Ready state. It was only when the ethernet cable was plugged in.I ended up: Disconnecting the(both basic and full procedure)... no result !sometimes i can print 100 pages correctly and then suddenly the error 49.4c02 or 49.4c06 appearssame printjobs with same application on an old 4000tn runs perfectly !and now ??replacing dc controller ? power supply ??i can not http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/posts/60641 believe i am the first one with this continuing 49-problemi did read all about error 49 on the forum here, nothing usefull left, i did try it all... Respond to this 0 49.XXXX PRINTER ERROR:To continue turn off then onA critical firmware error has occurred that caused the processor on the formatter to abort the operation. This type of error can be caused by invalid print commands, corrupt data, or invalid operations. In some instances, electrical noise in the cable can corrupt data during service error transmission to the printer. Other causes include poor quality parallel cables, poor connections, or specific software programs. Sometimes, the formatter itself is at fault, which is usually indicated by a 79 Service Error.Remove all memory DIMMs or thirdparty DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in slot J1.)1 Turn the printer on.2 If the error message disappears, reinstall each DIMM and EIO device individually, making sure to turn theprinter power off and then on again as you install each device. 3 Replace 49.4c06 service error the DIMM or EIO device that caused the error message.4 Remember to reconnect all of the cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.5 If this error message persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 6 Replace the formatter assembly by aerolaser on Feb 10, 2009 at 6:46am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Yeah pretty known issue usually a PDF file. Best bet would be to obviously print to another machine if possible. Try transfering the file to a different application. I haven't run into it enough to test it out fully but most people I tell them to advoid that individual file and it works itself out. Something obviously has been changed in some software applications and HP is currrently trying to correct the problem but really havent been able to pin point the issue between there firmware and the software's language issue. Pretty much its like if I was speaking english then for a sentence or two switched to Chinese then switched back to english. You would be like I didnt understand what he just said. Same thing is going on in your machine. I'm not sure but maybe if using PCL6 switch to a PCL5 driver or if you have a older version of adobe put the file in there. by nivek on Feb 10, 2009 at 8:43am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 problem is that the printjob is not 1 specific file but a batch of hundreds of successive
