SQL Server\MSSQL.1\SQLServerAgent ErrorLogFile key had the below value: C:\ProgramFiles\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\SQLAGENT.out However we did not had any such directory present on the machine. Also we did not had any SQLAgent log file. Changed the value in the ErrorLogFile key to reflect the correct location of the log folder which was on a different drive. After making the changes we were able to start the SQL Server Agent. Abhishek Soni Support Engineer, Microsoft SQL Server. Reviewed By, Mukesh Nanda,TL, Microsoft SQL Server

I am trying to turn on my Automatic Updates via Services.msc, however I get the error message: "Could not start the Automatic Updates service on Local Computer. Error 1058: The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it." This means I cannot get any Windows updates, unfortunately. Internet Explorer also randomly pops up fake Anti-virus adverts, which are really annoying. I have run HijackThis and below is the log from it.... Can someone please help me? I am not a computer guru and would really appreciate it.
