vote I have a issue in my test environment which is continuously occuring from the installation of SQL server. Whenever i log on

After looking into logs i found following error message The operating system returned error 170(The requested resource is in use.) to SQL Server during a sql server error 2 read at offset 0x00000000590000 in file 'F:\MSSQL\Test.mdf' Additional messages in the SQL Server error log and system event log may provide more detail. This is a severe system-level error condition that threatens database integrity and must be corrected immediately. Complete a full database consistency check (DBCC CHECKDB). I have contacted server guy and he ran CHKDSK operation on drive and could not find any errors on the drive and also swapped the drive 3 to4 times but still issue persisting. If not I would request you to add the Database log file(*.ldf) from the exclusion list. If you are still facing issues use Process Explorer tool. You can download it from the following link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-in/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx Once the tool is running click on the find and then give the file name which is present in the error logs. Click find You should only get SQLserver.exe. If there is some other program which is accessing the file it will be returned in the search box. If no results are showing up then most likely it would be Anti-Virus or some File monitoring software which may be taking the lock on the file.
