server having Database SQL Server which has around 5 GB of Backup file (One Database) now, I need to restore that on another Server of SQL. I have created blank database and try to restored that.. but it gives me an error like The Database was backed up on a server running version 10.50.1617. That version is incompatible with this server, which is running version 10.00.2531 TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio ------------------------------ Restore failed for Server 'C55307110\SHAREPOINT'. (Microsoft.SqlServer.SmoExtended) The database was backed up on a server running version 10.50.1617. That version is incompatible with this server, which is running version 10.00.2531. Either restore the database on a server that supports the backup, or use a backup that is compatible with this server. RESTORE DATABASE is terminating abnormally. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 3169) This activity is the part for SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2010 Migration process.
