GilaMonster Flowing Fount of Yak Knowledge South Africa 4507 Posts Posted-04/01/2011: 08:47:17 Did you try the method shown in BoL? It's not the same as for user databases. If it doesn't work, then you will need to rebuild the master (and other system) databases. It's an option on setup, again see Books Online for details. Once you've rebuild master, then you can restore the backup (to get your logins and like back).--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP addisionphilip Starting Member USA 4 Posts Posted-04/11/2011: 08:06:58 I have came across the given below article. CheckDB on master won't do much as checkDB won't repair system objects and everything in master is system.--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP dije Starting Member 6 Posts Posted-04/12/2011: 03:18:07 bad news, i dont have master backup, i lost all my scripts (job,agent,dts)..:(i'm using rebui

Additional messages in the SQL Server error log and system event log may provide more detail. We converted them to preallocated VD's yesterday, and while last night's scheduled jobs worked, the app log error is still occurring (currently trying to identify what induced it; think a user was manually importing data).Has anyone else ran into this, or have a solution? Here are the details on the environment:HOST- Dell PE2950- Dual Xeon X5355 quad-core CPUs @ 2.66GHz- 32GB RAM- (6x) 146GB/15k RPM SAS hard disks, single RAID 10 array- Windows Server 2008 Standard x64- VMware Server 2.0, build 122956Guest- Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x86, SP2- SQL 2000 Enterprise, v8.00.2148 (SP4)- two processors, 4GB RAM- virtual disk1 (68GB, 36GB free): OS, SQL program files, LDF files- virtual disk2 (136GB, 60GB free): share for data files to be imported, MDF files 6769Views Tags: none (add) sqlContent tagged with sql, vmware_server_2Content tagged with vmware_server_2, windows2008Content tagged with wind
