Open the ErrorLog file of the SQL Server in a text editor and go down

to the end of the log so see if there is a progress of the update. At the end you get such a message: SQL Server is now ready for client connections. This is an informational message; no user action is required. Do you mean still problem with Service pack update, as I know when I updated to SP2 it shows 'successfully updated' message. ThanksDBA Thursday, December 18, 2014 1:32 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote No, if it would stuck in update process, then directly after starting the SQL Server service, not in between. Is may be the count of connections Limit in Server Settings, so that SQL Server rejects new connections? Olaf Helper [ Blog] [ Xing] [ MVP]
