Go to the Management studio and try to attach the same database.3.When you come in window in which you select database to attach, you will see in second list its remarked that "LDFfile is not founded" , 4.You just select LDF file and kick on button Remove. 5. Click button OK and your database will be attached. This happened because something of your privileges are saved in LDF file. For that reason you must to clear this information. Check out this To fix, I did the following: Added the Administrators Group to the file security permissions with full control for the Data file (S:) and the Log File (T:). Attached the database and it works fine. share|improve this answer edited Apr 11 '14 at 7:00 user3414693 answered Aug 17 '13 at 8:37 Rahul Tripathi 101k1595173 4 Sometimes SQL server will run under a different user group other than Administrators Group –JDandChips Jun 2 '14 at 9:52 12 Also, it may help to start SQL Server Management Studio as Admin, not just the server service. –david.barkhuizen Jun 8 '14 at 14:29 1 For me the solution in the following link worked: stackoverflow.com/a/19061137/36518

I read about this process over the net and I tried different methods but it keeps returning the same error.First, I copied the files ".mdf" and ".ldf" from the old folder E:\Data to the new folder E:\MSSQL\Data. And i make sure that these files are NOT flagged as Read Only.Second, I tried manually to do the following actions:- Right click and detach the database. - Then, I attached the database by seclecting the ".mdf" from the new folder. Operating system error 5: "5(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15105)".Msg 5120, Level 16, State 101, Line 1Unable to open the physical file "E:\MSSQL\Data\MY_DB_log.LDF".
