If you are certain that it is not needed, disable that job first and see what happens. SQL Server 2008R2 Ent.Edition. can one of you please suggest me how to fix this error ================================= TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio------------------------------ The current log shipping configuration is not functional because the required backup job cannot be found. You must drop the current configuration by clearing the 'Enable this as a primary database in a log shipping configuration' checkbox. To resume log shipping, recreate the configuration using the same settings. If you resume log shipping and you specify the backup https://bytes.com/topic/sql-server/answers/936363-sql-agent-error-critical and restore paths that you used before, any backup files from the old configuration that are uncopied or unrestored will be copied and restored by the new configuration. Reinitializing the secondary database(s) is unnecessary. ------------------------------ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The specified @job_id ('text') does not exist. (Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 14262) Answered 9/6/2014 9:58:18 PM by Bill (1) I have http://sqlserverquestions.mssqltips.com/9901/sql-server-halogshipping-errormicrosoft-sql-server-error-14262/ not checked support.microsoft.com for any known issues, but a failure to create job suggests a limitation or restriction was experienced while creating a job - see "Before you begin" in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190268.aspx. If that does not help, you should trace SQL Server (include Errors and Warnings) while attempting to again setup Log Shipping - perhaps an error was raised prior to the one seen above.
