Check if the files are available there or not.3) Go to run-services and check the account configured for sql services? Is the configured account exist? The other possibility could be of password is changed for that configured account.4) You can try to run the services on different account which have enough permission and you aware of its password. ---------- Ashish Post #1091336 hidayathhidayath Posted Monday, April 11, 2011 5:36 AM SSC Rookie Group: General Forum Members Last Login: Tuesday, February 9, 2016 9:44 AM Points: 30, Visits: 72 Thanks I have check the logs and the detail is as below Logging SQL Server messages in file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG\ERRORLOG'. Error 3414 is an error that occurs during log-in/start-up time while automatic recovery for SQL database is not completed successfully. Extended form of the error encountered with SQL Server database is as follows: "Error 3414, http://www.sqlrecoverysoftware.net/blog/sql-error-3414.html Severity: 21, State: 1" "Database '%.*s' (dbid %d): Recovery failed. Check the SQL Server http://wordspainter.blogspot.com/2014/03/cannot-start-mssqlserver-service-error.html errorlog for further information as to the cause". Note: Description of the error can be found in Event Log or ERRORLOG entry of the Server, when the database attempts recovery process and fails to do so. Download Now Purchase Now Reasons Responsible For Occurrence of Error When SQL Server finds it difficult to recuperate scheduled database from sql server suspicious situation, the aforesaid error occurs. It is quite not possible to work with database smoothly until fixing the root-cause responsible for error message is fixed properly. So, if the database recovery from SQL Error 3414 fails, it will update both 'SQL Server Management Studio' and 'sys.databases.state_desc' column status as 'SUSPECT'. If the database set on 'SUSPECT' status, is attempted to open or read out; may lead to further errors. To error code 3414 determine the reason behind recovery failure, error log needs to be examined. Resolving SQL Error 3414 The appeared error message offers two options; "Diagnose recovery error and fix them" "Restore from a known good backup" However, to resolve the situation, the option to restore from a backup is a good practice in such cases but if it's not possible; you may try the following options: Use Database Console Commands, preferably 'emergency repair' process offered by DBCC CHECKDB. Copy recoverable or healthy data to another database. Note: Through abovementioned method, the operational consistency is not guaranteed. If the methods discussed above do not help you in recovering database, the chances are that some of the MDF or NDF files may have got damaged or inaccessible. Moreover, consistency among data is not guaranteed while recovering data through manual procedures. In that case, you can easily recover inaccessible files via utilizing a third party tool. Tip: If database is set as SUSPECT, the following solution can be applied to recover data from the database. Alternate Solution to Recover Database One amongst these available solutions is SQL Recovery software that efficiently recover
listed in the error log indicates that there are corrupt transactions that cannot be rolled back or forward. You can find the following in Event viewer Application Event ID: 9003 The log scan number (xx:xxx:x) passed to log scan in database 'model' is not valid. This error may indicate data corruption or that the log file (.ldf) does not match the data file (.mdf). If this error occurred during replication, re-create the publication. Otherwise, restore from backup if the problem results in a failure during startup. System Event ID: 7024 The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service terminated with service-specific error 3414 (0xD56). This is due to model.mdf corrupted you can find the same in ERRORLOG You can find it in Path Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\LOG It could occur due to damaged controller, antivirus application, disk problems and other such issues. I tried to repair model.mdf with commercial MDF Repair products but model.mdf can't be repaired using this tool, still erroroccurred. I don't find any informationregarding the responsible issues, So restoring from the last clean backup you have is the only option( Normally we won't take model, master mdf files). You can copy model.mdf and modellog.ldf from working SQL server instance from another server. (for safer you can backup a copy of model.mdf and modellog.ldf and place outside the \Data Folder. Now try starting the SQL Service in services.msc. It worked for me :) Posted by Bharath at 1:47 PM Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest 2 comments: Ellis WhiteJune 19, 2014 at 3:36 PMThere is one more solution to fix SQL error 3414.
