What should I do? Back to "Troubleshooting" 2012 Jan 23 ID: 1785 Concerning to Kaspersky Administration Kit 6.0 MP1Sometimes when installing MSDE 2000 error 1603 may occur. The error interrupts the MSDE 2000 installation. To rectify the problem, clean temporary folders. If the error repeats, follow the recommendations below: if you are running Windows NT: install the latest available service pack and all critical updates of Microsoft for your OS; if https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/925209 you are running Windows 2000 SP1: install SP2 minimum aтв all critical updates of Microsoft; if you are running Windows 2000 SP4: install Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) version 2.8 (or above). The reason might be that the user account under which the program is launched has NOT been granted the Impersonate a client after authentication right. On the computers running under Windows 2000 with service pack 3 and earlier https://support.kaspersky.com/1785 versions this right is not mandatory to impersonate the client that's why after service pack 4 for Windows 2000 has been installed some programs may function incorrectly. To rectify the problem define the account under which the program is launched and grant the Impersonate a client after authentication right to the account. Do the following for it: 1. go to Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy 2. open the Local policies node and choose the User Rights Assignment section 3. in the right part of the window double-click Impersonate a client after authentication 4. in the Local Security Setting window click the Add User or Group button 5. in the Select Users or Groups window choose the necessary account and click the OK button 6. click the OK button in the Local Security Setting window if it is necessary to know if the problem was caused by the wrong assignment of the Impersonate a client after authentication right and you cannot define the account under which the program is launched grant this right to the "All" group and restart the program.
