Everything was fine, so fine, I decided to buy it after some 10 hours of play, I was at the first heist mission.I installed the steam version, uninstalled the cracked version, and never been able to play. I was loading two stars, and it would crash.Like this:[2015-08-29 08:33:53.697] [DISPLAY] Using DPI 96[2015-08-29 08:33:55.846] [DISPLAY] File version 10000:1890004 (for D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5.exe)[2015-08-29 08:33:57.447] [DISPLAY] File version 10001:60005 (for C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club\socialclub.dll)[2015-08-29 08:33:57.547] [DISPLAY] File version 10000:1b80002 (for D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTAVLauncher.exe)[2015-08-29 08:33:57.567] [DISPLAY] Version: |1.0.393.4|1.1.6.5|1.0.440.2|FSP[2015-08-29 08:33:58.153] [DISPLAY] OS version: Major: 6, Minor: 0, Build: 6002, Platform: 2[2015-08-29 08:33:59.425] [DISPLAY] Social Club initializing...[2015-08-29 08:34:00.764] [DISPLAY] Attempting to create device...[2015-08-29 08:34:0

I have other batch files scheduled that also complete successfully and return 0x0 as they should. The only difference I can see between these files is that the working ones end with: IF ERRORLEVEL 1 ( ("notify me" script here) ) whereas the broken one ends with: IF %2==something ( (run a program here) IF ERRORLEVEL 1 ( (same "notify me" script here) ) ) Does an IF block return 0xff if false or something? What's the deal? windows scheduled-task batch-file share|improve this question edited Jun 9 '15 at 12:30 masegaloeh 14.1k72566 asked Sep 21 '09 at 13:54 Kev 48931639 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 5 down vote accepted The syntax you're looking for is: IF "%2"=="SOMETHING" ( When %2 is empty, the line you have becomes: IF ==SOMETHING ( That's invalid syntax. Putting the quotes in it makes it: IF ""=="SOMETHING" ( That's valid. share|improve this answer answered Sep 21 '09 at 14:05 Evan Anderson 127k12145287 Perfect. I had a batch file that would launch a bulk loader task at one of my clients that I needed to run everyday in the morning. I created the task as normal but once I told it to run, it was displaying the following code as a result: (0XFF) After some checks I noticed that I seems like the Task Scheduler does not like the long path I had put to my batch application. Eg: "C:\Users\someUserName\Documents\someUserName\myBatchFile.cmd" It would appear as if it has problems with the double quotes surrounding the path to the file. My solution was: In the program/script field I left just the name of the batch file and no double quotes. Eg:myBatchFile.cmd In the "Start in (Optional)" field I wrote the path to the file and no double quotes. Eg:C:\Users\someUserName\Documents\someUserName\Clients\ I also made sure that I removed the "pause" command from the batch to avoid the Task Scheduler not being able to find if the task completed or not. Found this information helpful although the error code was different: http://www.blogfodder.co.uk/2012/4/20/win-2008-task-scheduler-with-return-code-1-0x1 Hope this will assist someone else to sort out issues.
