Windows 7: Win 7 Task Scheduler Error Page 1 of 2 1 2 > 09 Sep 2013 #1 tjg79 Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 485 posts Win 7 Task https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa383604(v=vs.85).aspx Scheduler Error I receive the following error when I open Task Scheduler: Task Scheduler pop-up error box: Quote: Task User_Feed_Synchronization-{C5AF528F-CA57-4EF7-8439-15FF5967DE62} : The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. I don't see the User Feed Synchronization task in the Task Scheduler. I did a search in the regedit program for the ID in "{ }," but didn't find it. From what I understand, http://www.sevenforums.com/general-discussion/304276-win-7-task-scheduler-error.html if I can delete the task, the issue should be resolved. Does anyone have any suggestions? Errors By Martin Brinkmann on July 28, 2011 in Windows - Last Update:June 20, 2016 32While testing a new program I noticed that the Task Scheduler of my Windows 7 operating system was displaying an error message on startup. It displayed http://www.ghacks.net/2011/07/28/fix-the-task-image-is-corrupt-or-has-been-tampered-with-errors/ "Task X; The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with, with http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2751484/windows-task-scheduler-corrupt.html X listing the name of the task that was affected.Up to this point I was not aware of any Task Scheduler related issues, and you may not too as errors are only revealed when you open the Task Scheduler usually. You can run the Task Scheduler and check for corruption by tapping on task scheduler the Windows-key, typing Task Scheduler and hitting the Enter-key when the result appears. The error message was puzzling, as I was not able to identify the task at all.The first idea that I had was to run Autoruns to see if the task was listed in the program. To do that run Autoruns and switch to the Scheduled Task tab. You should see some, but not all, of task scheduler error the tasks configured on the system. The task that caused the corruption error was unfortunately not in the list.Fixing "The Task Image Is Corrupt Or Has Been Tampered With" ErrorsThe next step was the Windows Registry. All scheduled Windows tasks, custom and default, have an entry in the Registry.Open the Windows Registry Editor. An easy way to do that is to press Windows-r to open the run box, type in regedit and hit enter. Navigate to the following key in the tree structure in the folder view on the left side.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\TreeYou will see a list of scheduled tasks, more than what Autoruns displayed in its interface. The task that is causing the error message when opening the Task Scheduler should be listed as a key underneath the main folder. You can identify it easily as it uses the same name used when the error is thrown in the Windows Task Scheduler.Backup firstMy advise is to backup the Registry key first before you start deleting it. Right-click the key that is causing the problems and select Export. The Registry Editor saves the key and all of its information in a Registry file on the system.A double-cl

Tags: windows 10 Windows 7 Image Backup Last response: 27 November 2015 12:40 in Windows 7 Share Johnny Simon 5 August 2015 19:06:20 Hi, I have a pc that i recently re-installed Windows 7 Professional 64-bit in order to upgrade to windows 10. I would like to make a system image before i upgrade, in case anything goes wrong during or after the installation. But, when i go into Windows backup and setup the backup, i click the "Save Setting and Run Backup" and i almost instantly get the error "The Task image is corrupt or has been tampered with. (0x80041321). I found a solution online, but about 5 seconds into opening Task Scheduler, I get at least 15 errors all saying "The task image is corrupt or has been tampered with." But all for a different task. Is there a way to fix this without completely re-installing Windows? I really do not feel like going through the process of installing Windows 7 and the 200+ updates that come with it, lol. Any help is greatly appreciated.
