Perhaps PowerPoint is trying to open/save the temp file while processing the save of the real file and having a problem. Read this site which discusses PowerPoint temp files and perhaps delete any temp files that you find. I know that the site is not directly related to your problem...I'm merely pointing out the existence of temp files as a possible problem.http://www.free-power-point-templat...You might also look into your blank.pot file. I believe that is the default template for new presentations. Perhaps if that is corrupt, it might prevent the application from saving. Just guessing...I mean...suggesting some possible items to look into.Good luck! Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code. Report • #3 WesConnor October 16, 2014

There are several ways you can try getting a corrupted file to load, including moving it to a new location, extracting the slides from inside of it, and loading PowerPoint in Safe Mode. If you’re able to recover some or all of the corrupted presentation, you can use the recovered slides to make it again. Steps Method 1 Moving the Presentation to Another Location 1 Open the folder containing the corrupt presentation file. Use your file explorer to navigate to the folder containing the presentation file you’re trying to open. 2 Connect a USB drive or other storage device. The basic idea behind this method is to move the file from a possibly corrupt drive onto a working one. If the presentation is already on a USB drive, you’ll be copying it to your computer’s hard drive. If the presentation file is on your computer’s hard drive, you’ll be copying it to a USB drive. 3 Open a folder on the second storage device. This can be any location on the second storage device, as you just need to move it from one drive to the other. 4 Click and drag the file from the original location to the second drive. This will copy the file from one drive to the other. If the file doesn’t allow you to copy it, the file or the drive itself may be corrupt. 5 Open the copied file from the new location. After copying the file, try to run it from its new location on the second drive. If the original location was corrupt, you may be able to open it properly now. 6 Check the original location for errors. If the file opens fine from the new location, you’ll want to try to fix any disk errors in the original location. Windows - Open your Computer/This PC window and right-click on the disk that was giving you
