different machine, and the issue continued to reproduce. It was initially thought that corruption in the mail template was the root cause, but this did not resolve the problem. Running fixup -F, updall -R, and compact -C had no effect either. To resolve the problem, remove the rooms/resources listed in the preferred room's list and save the changes. The preferred rooms listing is found in the calendar type mismatch on external name lotusscript preferences on the Calendar & To do tab -> Rooms & Resources tab If that does not resolve the problem, the user's calendar profile needs to be deleted and recreated. Here is one way to approach deleting the calendar profile document Procedure/Steps to recreate the calendar profile document: 1. Create a new mail message. 2. Select Create > Hotspot > Button. 3. Add a label for the button such as "Delete Profile". 4. Set it to Run > Client. Select "LotusScript" instead of "Formula". 5. Paste the below code into the Click event Sub Initialize() Dim session As New NotesSession Dim db As NotesDatabase Dim doc As NotesDocument Set db=session.CurrentDatabase Set doc=db.GetProfileDocument("CalendarProfile") Call doc.remove(True) If doc Is Nothing Then MsgBox "Profile Document is Successfully Removed" 6. Send this email to the user having the problem, instructing the user to click the button. When user clicks the button the profile document will be deleted. 7. The Notes client will need to be shut down and restarted. 8. When the calendar profile is rebuilt, all preferences are set to default. Therefore, the user will need to re-enable any features set under Tools -> Preferences. Alternative options to delete the calendar profile can be

I tried replacing the design...didn't fix it. After design replace, I ran Fixup -F, Updall -R, compact -c -i -L...didn't fix it. I tried an old trick IBM told me a few years ago - Create http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd85forum.nsf/DateAllFlatWeb/5005e56a7a971f74852578d5005069e4?OpenDocument an INBOXTEMP, move all the INBOX messages to it, replace the design with something like the Team Room Database, replace the design again with the mail template, move the documents from INBOXTEMP back to the INBOX...didn't fix it. I found a document from IBM that I thought was going to save me: https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21282611 It was the final part of the tip (Option B), also validated at http://www.bleedyellow.com/blogs/JohnJardin/entry/avoid_annoying_errors_in_mail_and_calendar?lang=en, that finally resolved my problem: 1. Open your Application in the Domino Designer. 2. In the Top Menu, click on Tools\Recompile All LotusScript Because I spent about 90 minutes trying to find a solution, I thought I'd share this here in hopes that someone else doesn't have to Google this error and have to dig far, like I did, to find a working solution. I'm new to using Lists, so hopefully this is an easy one. The below code is a subset what I'm trying to do, but I have narrowed down the error to this line If num < iMin Then (if I comment out the if, then there type mismatch on is no error). I get the Type Mismatch error when I bring up the view that has button on the view. I tried to do the min as a function (new to Lotusscript functions too), but wasn't sure if that was part of the problem. Thanks in advance! You cannot compare two objects using the operator < or >. Instead you should use a numeric pr
Notes: Resolve "Type mismatch" error Published 05/03/2009 By Aleksander Nordgarden-Rødner I recently had a user call inn to report that whenever she tried to delete an invitation to a meeting, she got this error: The invitation in question would get an X beside it, and delete when she refreshed her screen. The solution is luckily simpler than the error message could lead us to believe; a simple change to the preferences is all that is needed: In the inbox, go to Tools, then Preferences Go to the Calendar & To Do tab, then to Autoprocess You'll see that the option for Automatic Inbox Management is blank. Choosing any of the two options solves the problem, Related Categories:Lotus Notes Tags:automatic inbox managementautoprocessinvitationtype mismatch Previous Post Unable to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 Next Post Windows XP SP3 blocks uninstall of software Be First to Comment Leave a Reply Cancel reply Chosen WordPress Theme by Compete Themes.
