24, 2012 By Jan Lenoir Harrigan CPA 9 Comments One Fix for Management Reporter's Unknown Error Just a quick post today. I've seen the "An Unknown Error Has Occurred" message less frequently recently, but here's one I want to mention. Twice it has been due to content in the http://www.frxbuzz.com/management-reporter-unknown-error/ Header 1 row in a column definition Both times it was on Management Reporter v2.0 (meaning it wasn't MR 2012) In both instances, the client was running AX One client was running AX2009, the other running AX2012 I haven't http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21478053 seen it on GP yet In both instances, the content in Header 1 was just text, nothing fancy So if your report is crashing with the ‘unknown error' message, go see if you've got something in Header 1 in unknown error the column insert a blank row, then delete Header 1 altogether (so the new blank row becomes Header 1) if that doesn't work and the column is simple, copy and paste the body into a new column or test and troubleshoot until you get it to work A quick screenshot Hope this saves someone some time! Cheers—Jan Filed Under: Management Reporter Tagged With: AX 2009, AX 2012, Management Reporter, Unknown ErrorComments Darryl Schroeder says February 21, 2013 at 9:19 an unknown error am This is happening with MR-2012 as well. Jan Harrigan CPA says February 21, 2013 at 10:55 am Hmmm. On which ERP have you seen it, AX? Jan Harrigan CPA says February 21, 2013 at 2:19 pm Darryl says this in response: "GP Dynamics 2010, it is only happening with one of our companies, I have a tree with multiple companies with different account structures, however, it is only happening with one. One of my I/T staff deleted the column header entirely and was able to run the report, and it is very basic, I contains all wildcards in order to produce a trial balance." Russ says July 11, 2013 at 8:53 pm This would not resolve for me until I copy/pasted to a new Column Layout. When I did, errors showed in a couple of blank formula fields. Was able to just ‘clear' the fields and the error was resolved. Jan Harrigan CPA says July 11, 2013 at 9:14 pm Thanks! Cecilee says December 27, 2013 at 1:48 pm Do you know of a way in the column to put a thin line on top of the header and a thick line on the bottom.. As it will not allow two blank lines I am struggling to get this to work on my report. Also the BXB and BXC with multiple pages. Jan Harrigan CPA says December 30, 2013 at 12:43 pm Hi
Problem(Abstract) I have a data set, and I fear that the data set has somehow become corrupted. Every time we attempt to open it in SPSS/Statistics, an error message comes up saying: "An unknown error occurred processing DataSetMsg::class ClGetDataMsg." The data set will not open. Can anything be done to salvage the attached data set? Resolving the problem Often when behavior like this is reported, something has happened to corrupt the data dictionary of the SPSS/Statistics system file. Usually, the file can be opened in a previous version of SPSS for Windows. When this is the case, success is usually found in salvaging the file by opening the file in the earlier version of SPSS, saving the file as an SPSS portable file, and then opening up that portable file in the more recent version of SPSS/Statistics. The act of reading from portable file format has the effect of forcing the dictionary information to be recreated Historical Number 69153 Document information More support for: SPSS Statistics Software version: 19.0 Operating system(s): Platform Independent Reference #: 1478053 Modified date: 2010-01-14 Site availability Site assistance Contact and feedback Need support?
