This discussion is locked McGeorge Level 1 (1 points) Q: OS 3.1 Cannot Restore Error Code (2009) Hello,Today I tried to upgrade my iPhone 3G to OS 3.1. The install went bad and now when I plug my iPhone into an unknown error occurred 20 my mac I get the "Try to Restore" message. to McGeorge happened to me as well. also got error 1611. off to the apple store. will let you know what happens there. I tried to restore 4 or 5 times. I finally ran the restore 4 times in a row and got a different error number each time. If finally updated on the 4th or 5th try.
