it. Scanning and repairing does nothing. After the error, the Ipod will still play what is on it, but I cannot add anything new or plug it in without similar issues. I only remember getting this issue when the new (6 months ago or so) Itunes came out. I've tried using old versions but the same error occurs.I'm beyond frustrated. I've had to format my ipod and find all of my music over again at least 10 times now.Other weird things I've noticed: Sometimes

And your iPod firmware need to be updated.I can suggest you delete the file that is causing the problem, but most likely it is all the files, due to the iPod firmware or iTunes mobile device driver is somehow corrupted, due to a partially aborted installation, or Restore. So try this. Can you do a Hard Reset as belowAfter charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do th

Just bought the new 40 GB iPod to replace my 1st generation 10GB one. I get : "Attempting to copy to the disk "[volume name]" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)." where [volume name] is the name of my iPod. The error occurs when synchronizing it with iTunes. I transferred 5013 (~28GB) songs over to it and it happend about 20 times before the whole collection was synchronized. It seems to be happening arbitrarily, sometimes after a 100megs, other times after 5 gigabytes. Needless to say this really sucks. Its synchronized now so I don't really care that much. Also, I am experiencing the folder distribution bug mentioned. About 3000 songs are in F04 and the other 2000 are in F00. I haven't noticed any performance issues related to this yet, but im wondering if the file distribution problem is somehow related to this "unknown error (-69)" problem. Anyone else gettting this
