my Facebook account any more. If it matters, I did set up the Facebook 2-step verification security, as you recommended. Are these related? Nicely done. Otherwise the 2-step process would have zero value, right? Any app that tries to log in using your account and password will instead get a request for that secondary data code, which the app probably has no idea how to handle. Or it uses an old-style login handshake and gets an error back like “FAIL: Use 2-step” or similar. What you need to do with Aperture and Facebook, however, is to pay attention to your registered mobile device. If it’s like mine, when you tried to connect the Aperture Uploaded to your Facebook account, the device immediately received a temporary one-time password that can be used to authorize the utility. Let me show you, it’s pretty straightforward. In Aperture, select a photo or three, then click on the Facebook button on the top bar to share them with your Facebook pals. It pops up a prompt like this: Notice that Aperture has tried to connect and hasn’t understood the response from Facebook, the “use 2-step” or “enter secondary verification code”. Instead, the utility simply reports An unknown error occurred. Please try again later. It’s not going to change later, of course. Meanwhile, look at your cellphone or mobile device that you

few things to note: The name mapping feature is missing. I don't really plan to bring it back until Aperture opens up its face recognition API There is a bug with Aperture 3 about the export size which can affect uploading to Facebook. More info. (I know the last comment mentions it's fixed but I can still replicate this bug in 3.0.3) < > 52 Comments Brian Jun 12, 2010 - Reply Yay! afc Jun 12, 2010 - Reply !!! Adam Jun 12, 2010 - Reply Thanks for this. Is there any way to not attach the caption text from Aperture to the export? For example I have comments in there on Aperture relating to and ND filters etc I may have used and export it to Flickr but I don't want to export it to facebook. It would be nice to be able to delete and edit that text. Thanks. Sean Jun 13, 2010 - Reply Ah, yes, this is a problem I didn't think of. I will have to add this feature to the next one :-/ glyn Jun 16, 2010 - Reply thanks for the new version. i just did a test and i quite miss the option from the old version and that is you are able to export pictures to facebook, accept and reject them first, then add tags, captions or arrange pics before posting it to your wall. i really like that feature! Lisa Jun 19, 2010 - Reply Sean, I was so excited to see this! Unfortunately, I can't get it to install because I keep getting the message that my computer doesn't have an application to open it. (I'm on a Mac, and your prior version installed without problems.) Help? Collin Jun 23, 2010 - Reply how can we tell if we are hitting the export size bug? and which setting should we be choosing to set it back to the right one if we hit the problem? Jennie Jun 28, 2010 - Reply Every time I download this, it just opens as a file in my Aperture library. Am I doing something wrong? Marco Jun 29, 2010 - Reply How is that it unzips a file with an unknown extension? Do I have to manually copy the files one by one? Forgive my ignorance :/ Samantha Perkins Jul 15, 2010 - Reply Sorry I replied on the wrong post before. I meant to say that the plugin is not loading under Aperture 2.1.4 under Tiger. Is it to still do with issues in Safari 4? Or is this only compatible with Aperture 3? :( Mark Castleman Jul 20, 2010 - Reply Has anyone else had a problem with
