Schneider Error loading photoshopimport.aip plugin in Illustrator CS4 Jeffbot Oct 21, 2014 http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/332690.html 4:09 PM Hello, I'm currently using Illustrator CS4 and just updated my Mac to OS X Yosemite. After installing the new software, I've got some bugs with Illustrator. Namely, upon opening the program, I get the message "Error loading plugins". The plugin in question is "photoshopimport.aip". I'm not sure if this is related to the next issue - I'm no longer able to https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1613968 open .tif files in Illustrator and says that they are "an unknown format and cannot be opened". I have uninstalled and re-installed all Adobe programs, but I still get the same error messages.Naturally, most of the work I do is in Illustrator with .tif files. Can anyone offer some help with these problems? Is this a case of the new OS X and CS4 having compatibility issues? Am I going to have to bite the bullet and upgrade to a newer version of Adobe? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Browse to this folder: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5\Support Files\Required look for a duplicate ADMplugin.apl file (probably named ADMplugin(1).apl) and delete it. AI should start normally. I had the control panel.aip issue and this worked for me. I tracked down the problem by temporarily removing the plug-ins folder from this directory... C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS5 ...then starting Illustrator. The program crashes on startup. When the crash report appears, looking at the content of crash report points to ADMplugin.apl. Bev13 Born Posts: 1Loc: Stafford 3+ Months Ago Hi, Im having the same problem also. I have 8 Design machines running Adobe Illustrator CS v11 on a WinXP Pro SP2 system. They have the same problem even if the file is not in use by another user this message is displayed. We were wondering if it is a Windows reservation issue and not an Illustrator problem, but I am still looking into it. I can also confirm that the file is not read only in it's properties. musik Legend Posts: 6890Loc: up a tree 3+ Months Ago I have had this problem in the past, from memory I cut and paste what I was working on into a new file and saved under a new name as an eps - then reopened and saved as an .ai file Jozhik Novice Posts: 30Loc: Zaandam, The Netherlands 3+ Months Ago Bev13 wrote:We were wondering if it is a Windows reservation issue and not an Illustrator problem, but I am still looking into it.I do believe this is the problem, I've got the same issue with Excel when I edit my table.html document. When I want to save the new version, for some reason I ALWAYS have to save it under a new name and rename it afterwards. Therefore it most likely IS a Windows issue - as soon as I know how to fix it, I'll let ya know. If you find out sooner, Bev13, please, let me know, too Page 1 of 1To Reply to this topic you need to LOGIN or REGISTER. It is free. Post Information Total Posts in this to
