Visual Studio 2015 Power Pack
application with VS2008 SP1, and installed it to 3 PCs. It works fine on 2 PCs, but can not launch on the 3rd PC, the error message is: Additional information: Could not load type 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.OvalShape' from assembly 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs, Version=9.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'. I wonder if this is caused by anold version of 'Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dllin the 3rd PC, found it, rename it, no luck.Then I sawthe correct

Installed Microsoft Visual Basic PowerPacks 3.0 on my development PC.This will install Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.dll to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 Power Packs\3.0 (seems also install Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.vs.dll to C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Visual Basic Power Packs\1.1\Microsoft.VisualBasic.PowerPacks.Vs.dll for I saw the date was changed to an earlier date than the one from VS2008 SP1) 2. Note the VisualBasic PowerPack is not part of Visual Studio 2013 install, it http://ntcoder.com/bab/2013/12/20/visualbasic-powerpack-missing-from-visual-studio-2013/ comes as separate MSI. The download link for Visual Basic Powerpack for Visual Studio 2013 is hard to find online as well. I found the link from our internal support article. Download VB https://forums.asp.net/t/1782677.aspx Powerpack (direct link to bits): http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=321343 Steps to Install Visual Studio 2013 Visual Basic PowerPack Installing Visual Basic Powerpacks Please close any open instances of Visual Studio 2013. Once the installation completes visual basic and if you still don’t see the Powerpack controls in the toolbox. Do the following. Open Visual Studio 2013 Open the toolbox. Add a new tab, right click on the toolbox, select “Add Tab”. Name the tab to “Visual Basic PowerPack” Expand the new “Tab”. Right click in the empty space under the new tab and select “Choose Item”. You’ll see the following dialog popup… Adding visual basic powerpacks reference to Visual Basic powerpack Please give it few minutes to load all items.
