This is a configuration issue on your Windows Live Mail. I would refer to your mail server to make sure you have POP/IMAP access enabled. Usually you can google "Set up windows live mail with xxxxxx mail" where xxxxxx is your mail provider. share|improve this answer answered Jul 2 '11 at 11:33 kobaltz 13.1k22247 add a comment| up vote 0 down vote Most SMTP servers these days require authentication for submitting mail. Make sure you enabled Accounts → Properties → Servers → Outgoing → My server requires authentication, otherwise WLM will not even attempt to login. share|improve this answer answered Jul 2 '11 at 12:25 grawity 157k17290378 add a comment| Your Answer draft saved draft discarded Sign up or log in Sign up using Google Sign up using Facebook Sign up using Email and Password Post as a guest Name Email Post as a guest Name Email discard By posting your answer, you agree to the privacy policy and terms of service.
